This extension tube has standard 1.25" diameter threads to attach filters or other components. I use this with a 0.5x focal reducer attached to the end, plus a light pollution filter. The threads seem high quality. This is a nice long tube that allows me to attain proper back focus for the reducer. I attached an image of how it fits into my setup -- the camera goes into the extension tube at the correct depth, and the extension tube + reducer + filter goes into the eyepiece holder, connected to the visual back. (I plan to test this without the diagonal as well, which should work theoretically). The collar of the extension tube holding the camera in place is secure and I didn't have any issues with it moving during my captures. I'm able to achieve perfect focus (using Bahtinov mask) from 0.5x to 0.33x reduction with no noticeable star aberrations. (Telescope is Celestron 8", camera is QHY5iii715C, and the focal reducer is from Apertura.)

I needed an extension tube so my QHY 5-II-M camera wouldn't fall out the back of my Orion 50mm mini guide scope. Even with the nose extension, I only had 1/4" of the camera in the scope in order to achieve focus. I have several SVBONY products and while they are definitely "entry level" in price, they have all performed exactly as promised and as needed. The extension tube is no exception. The fit is perfect, the finish looks fine and the threaded bolt to tighten the brass band that hold the guide camera in pace tuns smoothly and holds the camera without any play. I'm very happy with this fordable solution to my guide camera back focus dilemma. I highly recommend this product if you need an 1.25" extension tube.

I needed some extra focus stand-off, and this provided it perfectly. Brass compression ring is a nice touch. Metal construction is solid and well fitting. Straight pass-through, so no worries about optical component quality.

Don’t buy. You’ll be sorry if you do. Threaded on an aluminum cylinder only a millimeter thick.

I used this as a guide scope camera extension and was a perfect fit. It’s hard to find back focus parts sometimes even when you have the spec size you need. This fit perfectly!
