Reading the many reviews for and against this pool volleyball set, I can only say it's more than adequate to put a net of fun across your pool. I like the fact you can put it up and take it down which I would never leave it up if not being immediately used. It's a "fun" net; not a serious volleyball net. We put up the pool "safety line" for a back-line and had a blast! As a note, I thought the volleyball was missing (it's shipped curled up inside one of the upright poles) and contacted the seller. They immediately shipped a replacement, no questions asked! Can't ask for better than that!

I used water to fill the bases of the poles. It works great for recreational volleyball, but if you're doing anything hardcore, it may not be sturdy enough for spikes. I love it and it works great for having friends over to play in our pool. Good quality net! However we didn't use the ball that came with it. We ended up buying a beach ball... more fun and not as hard with less people.

I mean it’s a cheap pool volleyball net. You get what you pay for. Has held up pretty well. Even survived a game with teen boys. Not the sturdiest sometimes will fall in water but you simply put it back up and keep going. Ball comes with and works like I would expect it to. Had I paid more I wouldn’t be happy but for the price it makes the kids happy and it’s good for a small group.

I was attracted to the price, which was an the best feature, but one strong wind took the item a part.if you're looking for a one time game, yeah it's an option, but if you're looking for a permanent feature - definitely would not suggest this item. Easy to assemble. It's one of those items you need to put up and take down after use. If that's your plan, go for it. If you're like me and want bad minton in the pool all summer - pass on this item.

There is no way I could say anything positive about this set. My pool is 16 x 32, and the description says the net is for pools up to 20 feet across. In reality, the net covers about 7 feet of width. The rest is just a very long attachment string. Last time I checked, volleyball is played over a net, not just a string! The quality of the net is completely below par, too.The poles are cheap plastic, and the base is useless, since it is so small that a 3 year old could just kick it over. I won't hold up with a net attached to it, and I mean in the proper way, when one expects the net to be tight and square. This flimsy thing returns to the store tomorrow.Spare yourself the time, effort, waiting and money. Order something that really works.I used another set for the past 12 years. once we get it out at the beginning of the season, it stays put to the end. We used it every summer and it finally wore out the net. Also, we lost the stoppers for the bases. However, this set is great, and I recommend it: It's the Two-in-One game (volleyball/basketball) for 98 bucks, including s&h. I think it is the best set out there, when using a non-permanently installed game.

I purchased this pool volleyball set to take with us to the Outer Banks to use at the pool at the house where a large group of couples would be staying (16 of us total!) The pool is kidney-shaped and has a narrower piece near the middle which is where we put the net and it had room to spare (could have accommodated even a larger span over the pool.) It was quite simple to fill the bases with water and the only challenge we had was the occasional drooping of the net which required a bit of tightening of the rope holding it up. The ball that came with the set was PERFECT for the pool (sturdier than a beach ball but not as potentially violent as a real volleyball.) We did establish a no spiking rule as that not only potentially compromised the net (that's the only time the supports tipped at all) but it might have resulted in some black eyes! Playing in the deep end was more challenging than in the shallow, but it was fun to try to come up with new ways to make it work and we rotated sides to keep it fair. It was possibly the most fun part of the trip and everyone was so glad I purchased this set! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend it - especially as this was the BEST priced set I found in all of my research.
