I hope this review saves some other shoppers who needed this stapler for one or two projects, as I did. I only needed 4, maybe 5 staples for my project. I asked the seller if the stapler itself came with an initial supply of staples. I was told that it did not. So I purchased the smallest box of staples available. When I opened the box the stapler came in, the first thing I saw was a box of 500 staples. I am now the proud owner of 2,496 staples (used 4 for my project). SOOOO...FYI IT DOES COME WITH AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF STAPLES. The description should be edited to include that.As for the function of the stapler itself, I have always found Swingline to be very reliable and this stapler was no exception. The 4 times I used it, it functioned perfectly. My only wish was that it came in red.

I bought this last year and I was so frustrated with it that I tossed it to the back of my work bench when I should have returned it. I eventually tried to make it work but the metal is so thin that you can bend the staple hammer with your fingers. It’s cheap junk, it might put a staple in if you carefully align the staples but it will jamb on the second staple. I cannot recommend you buy it.

It’s has a good weight to it. It’s sturdy and easy to use. It’s thin enough to slip into small tight places. Love it!

I originally wrote that "I Love this. Use it in my classroom to staple lots of pages together for class books. Easy to use and hasn't jammed once in the year since I purchased it." But it has already broken for no clear reason. I only used it a few times a month and it broke. I've had regular staplers last much longer. Searching for a different product to replace this one.

I use mine for everything - stapling yard leaf bags shut, stapling clamshell packaging closed again, and of course big stacks of paper. A tax return is fastened together with ease with this thing.My old one broke, and I emailed Swingline about it. They do have a lifetime warranty on these units, but these are now discontinued. They asked for a picture of the broken one & would send me a different pliers - but they took a month to reply to me due to COVID and by that time I'd thrown the broken pair away. If you contact them for warranty make sure to take pictures first!

The first one came with broken level to press the staples down. The 2nd(the replacement) came with broken cable to charge the staples.Terrible quality control. However the stapler is made with steel and looks very solid outside. I take chance and order the 3rd. replacement if possible..

Very heavy duty quality build, but for some reason staples don’t seem to always move up inside. For some reason you will staples 1 - 3 times, and then when you go to staple its like there are no staples. Once you open it up, and then close it again, all is fine for a few times again. More annoying than anything :). (Using staples for 30-50 sheets)
