Sense door/window open and closed
With a detection range of up to 16.4 ft (5m), 90° horizontally, and 55° vertically, SwitchBot Contact Sensor detects your door/window open and closed. The magnet part of SwitchBot Contact Sensor needs to be aligned with the bottom of its main body, and the distance between the two components should be less than 1.2 inches (30mm).

Connected to SwitchBot Hub (sold separately), The Contact Sensor pushes notifications to your phone when someone enters your home, when the window is open, or when your pet leaves the cage. It also works as an entry sensor for your safe home. With Contact Sensor on the door or window, your home security is taken care of by this watchful gadget and alerts will reach you in seconds even when you are far away. *Set in the app to stop your phone from ringing all the time you receive a notification.

SwitchBot Motion Sensor works perfectly with your smart home appliances as a security partner. Connected to SwitchBot Hub, Alexa will alert you when a burglar is entering your home. If a suspicious person enters the house, Alexa will start an alarming voice to scare off the burglar.
*Alexa and Google Home currently do not support Contact Sensor's light level sensor or motion features. However, this feature is currently supported by IFTTT. Only SwitchBot Hub 2 supports matter.

This is a great contact sensor. It is very easy to install and setup. I do have the SwitchBot Hub 2 (a hub is required (hub mini/hub 2) for a lot of the features to work) which detected the contact sensors right away.I installed them on my garage doors and side door of the garage in case I forget to close them. Also installed one in the utility room which has a string to pull in order to turn on/off the light, so I added a smart bulb and made an automation to turn on or off the light when the door is open or closed. It works instantly every time! If you use an automation and don't want to receive notifications each time the door opens or closes, you can turn them off in the app which I did for the one in the utility room.Instead of using the 3M double sided tape I used Command strips which makes it easier to remove the sensor when I will need to change the battery or want to use it at a different door or window.So far I have 5 contact sensors and all work great for me. Love them and the price is great!Definitely recommend this contact sensor.

This is a great little gadget from Switchbot. It is easy to install, and instantly detects a closed or open door. This works perfectly within the switchbot app and was very quickly recognized and set up.I installed this on my front door at the top, and it was incredibly easy. Just peel off the 3M tape, and stick it. and then it's installed. now i can use the contact sensor within the Alexa app using a routine to tie it into other home automation programs!Using this, it's pretty easy to program your lights/gadgets within your house to detect when you leave/enter your home and automatically greet you or turn your lights on!I can't wait to see the next set of Switchbot products!

I have this sensor mounted on an exterior door. Usually when the door is opened, I get a notification on my Android phone (Pixel 7) almost immediately (95% of the time). However there are times where notifications can take up to 10 minutes, and I'm not exactly sure why. This could be an issue with my phone and completely unrelated to this device - not sure. Othewise, as with other Switchbot products, it was easy to setup and install. Overall I'm pleased and would buy it again.

It will take 5 to 20 minutes to receive a notification that a trigger has occurred. That kind of delay makes this product completely worthless.

Contact sensors are great. I have them installed on my garage fridge and freezer. Alerts are pretty much instant. I’m using them with HomeKit and the Switchbot app which is great. The Switchbot app is great since it gives you an option to get notified if the door has been left open for a set amount of time. For some reason, Apple Home app doesn’t allow for that type of notification or shortcut at the moment. Hopefully Apple will address it in the future. Notifications on bought apps are instant.

You have to go into the app to find contact usage. My old contact sensor would notify me straight to alerts on my phone. The worst part is that you can't turn off motion notification without also disabling contact sensing notifications, but it works seamlessly with alexa as long as you have a hub.

My SwitchBot experience is fantastic, i am really enjoying all the products i have. Especially the contact sensor. 3 sensors in one device, ambient light sensor, open/close sensor and motion sensor. This enables a great range for automation. The only product that works well in the bathroom without any random turn offs. Really a great product.

Love it. I installed it on my garage door so that I can get notified in case we brain fart and forget to shut the garage. So far, so good. I'm a little worried about the double sided 3M tape just because my wall is a little textured, but after a few days, it's still up there. Was painless to set up in the app - and alerts me when it's not closed. Couldn't ask for me!

I have this setup on my RV so when the door opens I can have a notification sent to my phone. It works great and has a motion detector built in as well. Very happy with it and Switchbot automation.

Ürün hem kapı/pencere sensörü hem de hareket sensörü olarak çalışabiliyor. Home Assistant ile entegre çalışıyor, ancak bağlantının Bluetooth üzerinden olduğunu unutmayın. Ben aynı markanın hareket sensörünü de aldım, HA üzerinden otomasyon senaryolarında kullanıyorum, memnunum.

spend hours trying to connect it to Alexa or smart life app but it fails..its only connects to smartbot app and can't access it outside this app...after alot of search i find out you need to buy another device (hub) to be able to connect to third party assistant like Alexa. Seller should mention that on description. Usless. Im returning it back

This works as dual purpose alarm and smart sensor. Works better than expected. For me its used as a door alarm during evening to early morning. During the day used for automation in the house via alexa integration. Good value and well made.
