I got the bag of 6 and it took 3 of them to polish a set of motorcycle forks. I figured it would take all of them but that would still be amazing compared to spending hundreds on chrome parts. They stayed together better than I expected and tolerated hand drill RPM. I used them with DICO cutting and polishing compound but i has to use a lighter to melt the bar enough to transfer to these cotton cones. Otherwise they wouldve just disintegrated themselves trying to pickup any compound. They loaded and blackened up quick but don't let that stop you--they still polished the aluminum like chrome. Not sure what the negative reviewers were doing to destroy these so quickly because you can see what mine looks like after 10 minutes at 2500 rpm. There was some unraveling when I hit the fork drain screw and mounting flanges but they hung in there way more than I expected.

Works good only thing I don’t like is that it slowly comes apart just as u use it leaving little hairs everywhere on what your polishing wipes right off tho I’m still using the first one so they do hold up well just has little hairs that slowly come off it while using wipes off not a big deal. I recommend these for their price

Easy to use these on my wheels I used a toothbrush and mother's mag and aluminum polish and surprised myself I don't know why I waited so long to do it I will be using these polishing cones for other tasks around the house. Didn't shed that much like others have stated the size are nice quality and value are great just buy them ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Does an ok job. Not terribly thick and turns hard after absorbing a small amount of polish. Almost exploded once applied to a surface as bits of the material flew all over the room. About half the material was left after a couple minutes of use. At the end of the day it did do its job I suppose. But don't expect these to last any significant amount of time.

So far, so good. Used one to polish chrome wheels, it held up well and did a good job. Tried to wash it/clean it afterward, will see if it tries to come apart next time but honestly even if it did I would be well satisfied. I have purchased the same items from others and they didn't last at all, or came apart during first use.

I took a chance on this item knowing that a lot of cone buffers don't last or fall apart. But I was surprised that these cones held together so well. They are rather large so are only good on larger style rims and can't really get into the smaller crevices, other than that they are very easily washed and dried without falling apart. I have used it for polishing waxing and buffing and give it a 8 out of 10 in quality.

Remember to warm it up before loading, 750ish RPM. Little fuzz and spectacular results.
