I haven’t used this flash bar yet, but by the looks of it it’s brand new and unused. It came in the original packaging which I saw other reviews mention it didn’t, so just wanted to clarify this one came with it. If by chance it doesn’t work I’ll edit the review, but so far so good!

Just to say the flashbars I ordered were in the original packaging that only showed sign of age, not neglect. The SX-70 I have still works with Ilford film but I had no flash capability until now. I've taken one flash photo and it worked perfectly. I look forward to more flash shots with this retro-camera and will most likely order more flashbars from this seller. P.S. The price of each flash bar is understandable given the how difficult it would be to obtain these 35+ year old bulbs.

When I received this flash at for my polaroid camera, I was a bit taken back by how it was packaged. The flash bar was in a padded envelope by itself with no box as advertised here. It was literally the flash bar with a label wrapped in shipping tape that was very stuck to the plastic housing.When I was making attempts to remove the tape, I noticed that the flash bar itself was badly scratched as if was used before. I looked at the gold connector plug and sure enough it was used.* no box* poorly protected* used before (almost understandable because I’m sure that’s how they get these things back in to production)* overpriced for what you get.Pro:* it worked. The flash did what it was supposed to so overall, you’ll get a working flash bar.I know it seems petty but for the cost, which was more than the film, I was hoping for a bit more product. I actually intended to keep the packaging for nostalgia, etc.Overall, it was disappointing but since the bar is mounted now and working, I guess that’s what it is.Feedback: try using a different tape or perhaps cellophane then put the white label on it. I almost broke the case trying to get the tape off. Eventually I used an xacto knife to remove it.

Looked like had been in a basement for years. Delivered in original packaging but was beat up. Luckily all flashes worked

but it's old and certainly did better than the one I had , that the family got ages ago too. Glad there is an attachment but that costs a bit. No problems with these. And a little extra advice, although don't overdo it. Fiberglass erasers work just as well on stubborn oxidation.

I used this flashbar once and 3/5 bulbs burned out and look like they melted. As well as the picture did not even come out properly so they didn't even work for the one use. I am very disappointed in this product.

I gave it as a Christmas gift with the SX70 polaroid camera and she just love love love loved it. However, she would like info on where to get extra film and flash for the camera. Thank you for having it delivered on time for Christmas. I especially liked that. Thank you.

Works great! The flash unit must be flat against the camera base (above the lens) on the SX-70. The new old stock flashcubes have worked on each exposure. Amazing for a product made in Belgium that is 20 years old.
