These planter pots arrived in pristine, new condition with all of the expected components included. I wanted to mention this because a few reviewers had said they received dirty or used looking pots, cracked items, or some pieces missing from their orders. I received 6 brand new items with both inner and outer pots, and all 6 of the watering strings included. I'm very particular about the items I display in my home. I had admired these pots online for a while but wasn't sure if they'd look as good in person. I wanted the lighter weight that plastic offers over ceramic, but nobody wants to put their pretty plants in cheap looking pots to be displayed around their home. Anyway, my African Violets were finally in desperate need of repotting so after a year of looking at these, I decided to order. These planters look great in person! I'm so happy with their appearance and quite pleased to display them in my home. Though they are lightweight plastic, they look anything but cheap. They have a substantial look and a nice finish to them, and when the inner pot sits in the outer pot, they become very sturdy and rigid. They start out extremely lightweight so that by the time you add soil, plants, and water, they are still so easy to lift and move around, and it's easy to add water to the outer pots as needed for plants like African Violets that do better when watered from the bottom. Some reviewers commented that the slits on the inner pots weren't fully punched out. I'm not sure, but this may be so that you can choose just how many slits you want to utilize in order to customize the amount of drainage to your liking. I found it quite easy to push the slits all the way open with just the edge of my fingernail, with no damage to my fingernail. The cuts for the slits are already in place but how many of the slits you open is up to you. The two round holes on the bottom to run the watering strings through come fully punched out and open. I chose the 4.5" pots in the white color option and they are a pure, clean, bright white. I find them very pretty. I knew before ordering that I would use these pots without their watering strings. Because I like to let my African Violets dry out between waterings, I simply add water to the outer pots as needed letting my violets have a good drink, and then I empty the excess water out when done. This is the method I always use for watering my African Violets and I was so pleased that these new pots would allow me to easily continue with that method. This set of 6 pots is so good looking and is a steal for the price. Though I really love the classic white color I chose, I may order a set in the hydrangea blue color next. These pots are a great value. Unless you select the wrong size, I don't think you can go wrong by ordering these. They really upgraded the look of my plants.

This is the 2nd set I purchased. I love these! I have a lot of plants, it’s difficult to keep up with watering them all. I am using these for my plants that are a bit thirsty or sensitive to drying out. My rabbit foot fern, blue star fern, kangaroo paw fern, and a purple pallida tradescantia are thriving with these. I love the shallow depth and ribbed design. All around great!

Pots will work fine for what I need them for, propagating African violets to pass on to family.

If you enjoy propagating your violets to give as gifts this is the perfect pot. The plastic is thin with the outside pot a little heavier. I don’t think it would take much to break them.

We got these as were are trying to create a shelf of plants in our home. I liked the style of these and also liked that they had different sizes. The ridging on the pot makes it look classy. The quality of the pots is also nice. I want to see how well this water system works as one of our biggest struggles is under or over watering our plants. We're really hoping this will solve that problem. The pots are also really nice quality. They're also very lightweight.Side note: We took our planter to the local gardening shop and they warned us that the self watering part is great but if we leave water in there too long without draining it consistently, it will attract bugs.

The outer pot is so thin and flimsy that I don't want to use it. However, the inner pot is firmer and very useful if you want to double pot a plant that needs extra drainage. Actually, inner containers like this are hard to find, and they are worth the purchase price. All you need to do is find an outer pot to go with them. It should have an inside diameter of 4-3/8 inch maximum to accept the inner part. I found this very useful in repotting the tiny, flowering orchids that are for sale in the grocery store, which need to be repotted as soon as you bring them home.

These T4U 7" Self-Watering Pots for indoor plants are the perfect size to replant the seedlings that grew and then outgrew my IDOO Hydroponics LED Lighted Growing System. Since my plants and I were already used to self-watering, I wanted to purchase another method of self-watering that would encourage their fast-growing growth and give them plenty of room to continue successfully. I found the perfect size pots including the self-watering that I needed. I am happy today that my plants are continuing their growth and producing herbs just as fast in their new homes as when they started as little seedlings. Plus, the T4U 7' pots are very attractive and look great in our home.

I got the smallest size, 4inches, and it works great for my Alocasia pups in homemade pon. I will likely order some bigger sizes too. I like that it comes with the wicks pre cut.

Enjoy the idea of the string and also a pot within a pot. They look lovely even though they are plastic which is great for not breaking if dropped etc.
