I just placed my order for more of these. Size is great, nice and deep for roots. Love that here are hooks for attaching to chain instead of clips. Now all the little critters we have will stop destroying my hanging plants by stealing the coconut liner.

I got 6 packs of 12-inch hanging planters. At first glance, I was a bit skeptical about their longevity since they don't come with the metal basket at the bottom that's common in the market. However, the nonwoven fabric looks sturdy and holds the soil well. It's odorless and drains water efficiently. Each planter comes with a three-leg metal chain, making assembly easy, and they're ready for planting. The chains are waterproof, and I haven't noticed any rust so far. The planters are spacious, allowing for larger plants or a combination of smaller ones. The brown color is fine, though I would appreciate more color options. Overall, I'm satisfied with these hanging planters and recommend them.

The baskets come pressed down in a vacuum packaging. I will never be able to get the wrinkles out of them, even with weighted plants. Terrible product!

CONS: Quality. Support.PROS: Cost.Additional Thoughts: At first glance, I thought the material was very thin and poor quality. I put this on a shelf, unused, for a couple weeks because I wasn't ready to plant. Now when I look at the material closer, it does look fairly thick and decent quality. The hooks and chains appear to be of standard quality. The basket itself, well, can't call it a basket. The chains connect to a metal ring and the fabric basket has the metal ring around the top. There is no support (metal wise) for the fabric, so that is the weak spot. When this fabric fails, you will have to somehow replace the fabric with something else, or throw it away. This does not seem like it will last long and I'm concerned how much soil I can put in there without the fabric tearing. Being 12 inches, I'm very nervous filling them up and hanging them. As a test, I hung this on a fish scale and carefully loaded one and two pound sand bags into the basket. I ran out of sandbags and the scale showed 27 pounds. With that weight, the material did not feel stretched or stressed, and the chains held. For that reason, I will raise my rating from 2 to 3 stars as these baskets will degrade, especially in the sun, and only last a season or so. I was also hoping I could replace this fabric with a coconut fiber basket liner, but that won't work because of the lack of a frame.LovingTheRetiredLife

To be perfectl; honest I ordered these in error. From the photo I thought I was ordering coco lined baskets. It is my fault for not reading the description fully. The seller is jnot at fault here.... but I grow a lot of things here, have 7 raised beds, and another 6 in ground. There are orchids in all of our trees, some in baskets, and a lot of potted polants. I live in the rain forest so not a lot does well in ground, or not as well as in baskets.I usually start some strawberries and some nasturtiums in hanging baskets, but these really ar3e not usable if you want to start seeds in them. I do like that they allow for air flow, but there is no realistic way to start seeds in these. The birds would eat them, since they can not be enclosed, and seeds will noty sprout as well without a humidity done, or something like. You can put potted plants in them, but I buy plants as a last resort, since I like to choose the varieties I grow..These are a good deal like the fabric bags, which I personally hav4e not had much luck with. Here, with our humidity, they quickly become covered with mold, and it is a mess. I expect these to work as well in this environment. My environment is pretty unusual though, and others might have more success, but you will have to be carteful with what you plant in them. You will have to be vigilant about watering, and the medium you use.Finally,. I rated these 2 stars because I do not find them very attractive, or as useful. If they were coco coir I could use them with orchids, or practically anything else. I do not plant seeds in those either, but orchids reproduce by producing kekis, or smaller plants. My rating is because I find these less attractive, and less versatile than other hanging planters.
