It works just as expected dispensing one toothpick. It's a great way to keep the remaing toothpicks untouched.

Super easy to use and great for our kitchen. We were constantly spilling toothpicks all over the drawer or kitchen and couldn’t find a dispenser that was worth it. This one is awesome and we recommend it to anyone in need of a toothpick dispenser.

I bought one of these in 2019 to dispense toothpicks at my desk. A few months ago, I wanted another toothpick dispenser for a different room. I looked around for a highly rated one (I was open to trying other types), and bought a highly-rated dispenser that had a bird figure pick the toothpicks for you... it worked, but it wasn't as fool-proof as this one; you kind of had to aim where you push, so that the bird would go the proper direction to get your toothpick. I like this one much better, where you can kind of just grope for the toothpick (because the button is so wide and reliable), and you'll get one. I just ordered another one for yet another room.
