Instructions are vague at best. They say to refer to a diagram that it did not come with and when downloaded of their website it does not exist. Feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life for nothing.

I have a 2003 Element. It's old. It's lived most of its life in Michigan. Doing ANYTHING to it always ends up being an ordeal, so concerns over some exact fitment don't really scare me...but yeah, the included brackets REALLY do not fit correctly. I ended up rigging up my own brackets with some odds and ends I had laying around to get the job done. The included screws will also shred like putty, so be mindful of that. If modifying these so they work is of interest to you, I recommend fully removing the taillight housing from the car while you figure it out. They do look pretty good once they're on as the main body shape is correct - you just also have to be careful that the tail gate doesn't make contact with it.

The instructions are vague at best. It will require minor surgery on the tail light lens to fit correctly. A flat file or a dremel tool make the brackets work. The supplied bolts are garbage. Know what you're getting into and prepare accordingly. All that said, they do look nice when its all said and done.

I ordered these guards for my 2009 Honda Element. This vehicle hasn’t been produced since 2011, but mine still runs and looks like new, so I figured I’d enhance it a bit. The covers arrived promptly, and are really nicely constructed; high quality. There was only one issue. They didn’t fit. They’re advertised as being compatible with all Honda Elements. However, it seems that, over the years of production, Honda made some changes that the manufacturer didn’t notice? In any event, I had two choices....try to alter them to fit, or send them back. I chose plan b. And, to be fair, the seller didn’t give me any hassle. But, it’s a shame. I would really have liked these guards on my car!

They were not very easy to install on 2004 Honda Element the top bracket did not line up with the factory hole so had to bend the bracket to make it work

They didn't quite line up perfect- but with a little "persuading" they will line up- only problem is that the front bracket causes your taillight to be unable to sit completely flush; potentially allowing water/ debris in that area I took mine off for now until I decide whether I want to notch out a spot for the bracket to fit and allow them to be seated properly. Just not 100% sure I want to mess up the OEM plastics with them becoming harder to come by.
