It is a good protector for Airsoft and other uses for Eotech sights, but it has a distortion effect and it messes up your aiming. Durability is good its just the effect.

i think this would adequately protect your lens but its at the sheer cost of visibility. i cant see a thing out of this...

The sight visibility with it is so low it makes the sight useless. Its like looking through a fish tank with how wavy the sight is with it on.

The protective cover has a bit of distortion especially if you close your non-dominant eye. If you look through both eyes as you are meant to with holosights it is not as bad though. I'll take some distortion over breaking my actual Eotech during a game thank you. I'll add to this review if it gets hit to update on protective abilities.

The lens needed modification to fit my 551 sight it is also very distorted and much too blurry especially with a 3x magnifier. would not reccomend. go for a gunsmodify holo sight protector it is very clear.

Well I got this for my holosight 551 and few things wrong with this item was1. The top insert part would not go into the holosight only the side part went in. 2. Was the protector part had a magnify to it and could not see clearly through it.3. The price is not worth $15.99
