I use this for weighting batches of lead so my scale needs to be sturdy; and this one is. It is very easy to set the zero, which it maintains unless physically moved. My aging eyes appreciate the large easy to read dial.

The scale is very sturdy and has worked pretty well! for me aesthetically it's not the best looking and it is rather bulky. However it does serve it's purpose and function in the kitchen. I ended up giving it to my mother in law after a while and she has enjoyed it! I have a slimmer/smaller one now and it does the job well and stores easily.

I like the many features this scale has. It’s old fashioned, like Grandma used. It has classic good looks and a modern finish. It’s mechanical, I do not have to squint to read a poor LCD screen. It has a big analog screen. It’s heavy-duty. There are no batteries to worry about. It’s ideal to weigh what my imagination can think of, from fruits and veggies to dry goods, packages and what not’ It has a heavy stainless steel weighing platform, It’s like a diamond. It’s durable and resists corrosion, it has a shatterproof protective lens; and most of all, it’s reliable and incredibly accurate, as I repeatedly test it, to so confirm.This arrived in a very sturdy brown retail like cardboard package, which measured about 11†x 11†x 9†which is the rough dimensions of the scale, which weighed-in at about 7½ lbs. It’s heavy and durable, the scale itself weighing 6¾ lbs. [The platform itself weighs 1½lbs.The plastic scale cover was easy to insert.Country of origin?Made in ChinaReadability?ExcellentPart missing?None, everything that was needed – minor items, were present.Accuracy?ExcellentValue?Competitively priced. Not cheap though, likely because of its heavy-duty construction and accuracy.I hope my thoughts added helpful information.

Make sure and check the dimensions of the product before you purchase! This is a large scale. I didn’t check the dimensions, which is my own fault. In the picture, you can see the regular size water bottle next to it to give you an idea of the size.Besides being large, it is an extremely accurate scale. I tested a bag of rice that had not been opened, and it measured exactly what the rise said it was. It was easy to assemble. All you had to do was open the box and then screw on the metal plate to the top with your fingers. No tools are needed. The top tray is stainless steel, and easy to clean up. It is easy to tare the weight out so that you could put a mixing bowl on there and add your ingredients. This is what I plan to use it for. It is well made and sturdy.

This is the best scale I have gotten and I have had plenty in my days. I use scales for my cooking as most of my recipes need precise weights to become perfect. This is a great scale to have as it is easy to see and read. Especially for the elderly because the numbers are big and the screen for the weight is huge. It goes from 0 to 110 pounds. So you wouldn't need any other scale for the kitchen. This is heavy duty and it is big but it works perfectly to the ounce. I have been using this scale every day twice or more for the past two weeks and it is just wonderful.

This Tada Heavy Duty Mechanical Scale is a good size scale that will weigh items up to 44lbs. I use this in the kitchen for baking, where precise measurements are crucial to the outcome of bread or pastry. I sometimes use it for portion control when I am eating consciously. If you need to place a bowl or container on the top of the scale before adding food, the little gear on top makes it easy to mechanically zero out the scale.I have also weighed small pets and packages/letters to determine the necessary postage to apply.

I use small digital scales for my baking recipes, but this mechanical scale is great for bigger jobs: portioning out meat or dough, weighing packages for shipping, etc. Easy to read, easy to clean, easy to calibrate. Heavy and solid.Be careful! The hardware you need is in a small baggie inside the large plastic bag that the scale is shipped in. I almost threw it away thinking it was trash! Also make sure you look at the instruction page, there are a couple of plastic blocks to remove along with zip ties.
