As a telephoto lens fan, I once again am enjoying the unique perspective and storytelling ability a wide-angle lens can offer. Christmas around the tree in our little cottage took on new life, as our grandchild took his place in the family circle, and this lens beautifully captured the controlled chaos of the moment.I had owned a 24-40mm zoom years ago, and had appreciated its ability to capture a unique perspective for black & white landscapes on 35mm film and color slides. But on our latest mirrorless camera, the Sony A7C, it has demonstrated how a wide-angle lens can capture interesting elements in a busy scene without getting in anyone's face.I'm going put down the teles, and mount this lens more often!

Great image quality, very sharp,good colors and contrast, compact, light weight,small enough for travel. Didn't experience distortion when shooting leveled. Used for landscapes and it delivered. Had no issues with the auto focus on a Sony 7R body however, it is a bit noisy. This may only be a concern when shooting video. An overall excellent lens for a great price.

Really amazing picture quality for the price BUT autofocus doesn’t with in video on a7iv which was not mentioned anywhere in description. If video AF is not an issue for you then this is an excellent lens with corner to corner sharpness. I do occasionally shoot videos so this doesn’t work for me.

The image quality at this price is amazing! I'm not sure that there would be much of a difference between the image quality of this lens and one costing 4x or more.

There's a few things I didn't like about this lens:1. Changing of focus is really loud.2. The lens fits the camera super tight, so tight that it feels like I'm damaging the camera.3. The lens comes with a lot of distortion and there is no lensfun entry.4. I would see purple edges on things located in the corners of the photo, Chromatic Aberation I believe.The things I do like:1. Lightweight.2. Seems like a decent build quality (was my first non-Sony lens).2. EXIF data seems sensible.Ultimately I decided to return the lens. For $200 I suppose you can't really go wrong though. If you do a lot of street photography then this lens might be for you.

I didn't have any expectations for this lens but honestly for the price, it's amazing. I've shot portraits in everything from full sun to nighttime cities with it on my Sony A7Rii and they turned out good.There are definitely better more expensive lenses around but for 199$ it's the perfect lens to try out a new focal length.

Nice little lens for that wider shot that you need. Great addition to my prime lenses, its sharp and the auto focus is accurate on my sony a7iii. You really cant beat it for the price, buy it- you wont regret it.

Es un buen lente, no son los materiales mas premium, pero se siente de buena construcción, la imagen que da es buena, lo uso con una ZVE10, el enfoque es rápido y el peso está muy bien, me gustó mucho, pronto iré por el 35mm de la misma marca.

Lho preso per la mia sony a7 cercavo un grandagolo economico da portare sempre dietro. Come qualità costruttiva è molto buona il barilotto è fatto da buoni materiale e l'impugnatura è buona. Come qualità ottica è molto nitido al centro a 2.8 e chiudendo il diaframma quasi su tutto il fotogramma. Per quello che costa è un 'ottica molto versatile e di buona qualità so rprendernte anche nelle macro e nei close up molto divertente usarlo per la street.
