I bought this faux ivy green lattice screen about six months ago, in the middle of a very windy 'end of winter/beginning of spring' season. I was looking for something to attach to my pergola to add desperately needed privacy from my lovely (but WAY TOO CLOSE neighbors). I originally chose a different screen, one that was just the mesh, brown, and it currently is attached to another side of the pergola. The downside to the brown screen (with no ivy and no plastic lattice screen to add the extra durability) is that it is basically a see-through curtain. It provides me 'some' privacy, in an 'I still see you but you are obscured through this screen' sort of way. Also, though it's a natural brown color tone...it sticks out like a sore thumb in my very green yard. This is the total opposite of what the green faux ivy mesh screen looks like on the other side of my pergola! The green mesh screen still allows light, air, and some visibility through it. However, the ample faux ivy leafs provide 90% more privacy. AND it looks natural! Sure, stand next to it and you can tell it's not a real ivy wall. But if you want real ivy, go ahead. But a lattice, grow a sprig. And in 5 years enjoy the privacy you crave today. OR...buy this. If you are glancing at it or walking past it it looks real. And let's face it, it is probably going to hang on your fence, pergola, or whatever. People know it's not real. Still, it looks terrific. Okay, now the nitty gritty. If you want privacy, buy this. No screen mesh is 100% private. It needs to breathe or it will blow away or rip. So there is space allowed for 'breathing.' The ivy leafs compensate and add a terrific extra layer of obscuring and privacy from nosey neighbor's eye balls. Also note, the screen is not 100% covered in leafs. It's about 70/30%. You can see the screen somewhat. I think it looks nice as it allows light through and it casts a very natural looking shadow onto my patio. Very soothing. Some have complained that it doesn't have enough leaves. To them I say...'you are buying a screen, not a solid ivy wall. The ivy is a natural looking privacy perk. I nice added element to the screen to make it look like you have a plant there (not an 'effe you' screen to passers by!). So manage your dreams of French cottages covered in real ivy. Now that we have covered that... Next, unlike other screens, this one is attached to a sturdy but pliable plastic/rubber lattice. The screen itself is pretty large. It comes in one piece (I've seen some 2 piece screens. AVOID THEM). It easily covered my 9ft wide 6 ft tall pergola wall. It is easy to cut, roll up, maneuver however you want it. It has been terrific for my needs. I have used zip ties to attach the lattice part of the screen to the posts of my pergola. Easy peasy. The other random screens (without the lattice backing that the screen is attached too), are more difficult to attach. Either they have gromet holes that are insufficient or you have to be McGuiver and figure out how to attach it in a satisfactory way. So the lattice adds stability, functionality, and that is how the ivy leaves are attached to the mesh. Which is key, so that the mesh has zero extra holes in it from ivy. You definitely will appreciate that fact. Now as far as over-all durability...I was at first concerned. I live in the very stormy, tornado-prone, high-wind state of Georgia at the moment. I had visions of the pergola ripping from its base and flying across my yard because of the screen maybe acting as a sail. Do you feel me on this, people? Anyway, to my great relief...It has now gone though several big wind and torrential rain storms and though it did look rather like a sail at times, the breathable fabric and the lattice kept it in place, unharmed, and allowed enough air to pass through so as not to ripe apart my pergola. WHEW. So all that said, I give this thing 5 stars and highly recommend. Get yourself some zip ties and privacy and enjoy your yard. Peace!

I am so happy with this purchase! I used it to cover a chain link fence that separated my yard from the neighbors. Real ivy had been growing there but was very sparse and afforded me no privacy. I had previously tried the net style artificial ivy, but that was also sparse enough to look through. Finally someone thought to put that stuff on a mesh backing, now I have TOTAL privacy, yay!!!! It provides me a lovely lush green wall, and I put a bunch of real plants in front of it to enhance the effect. The fence was only shoulder high, so I got an expandable trellis (also from Amazon of course) and I used zip ties to secure that to the top of the fence. Then I used the same zip ties to secure this mesh ivy. The exact size I needed was not available, so I just ordered 4 separate pieces to cover about 20 feet. It overlaps in the middle, and that is just fine! It was ridiculously easy to install and was done in a few minutes. Gorgeous privacy for about $200 for the four pieces, well worth it to me! Like others have noted, the zip ties that come with this ivy aren't great, buy some 8" ties from amazon, I think it was $5 for 100 and you will be glad you did.Be aware that occasionally a leaf May fall off, and if it’s in blazing sun, it will fade a little over the years. The sun is powerful and will fade just about anything over time. You can actually buy spray on UV protectant if you’re worried. It does not look exactly like real ivy, but it looks great, does the job and is way more affordable than having a solid fence installed, and a way better option if you rent like me and can’t do anything so permanent.Highly recommend this stuff, I am thrilled to have my privacy!!!😄🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿Update: Still love this stuff! I installed it on a chain link fence in September. Here in Southern California, we had 100 degree heat waves between then and early October. This stuff was then and still is in direct sunlight every single day and has not faded even a little. Of course, I’m sure over the years that it may, the sun will fade just about anything if you give it enough time. I hope that fading will be minimal, time will tell! I’m honestly so happy to have my privacy, if it did look too faded after 4 or 5 years, I would happily replace it! I’m mostly updating this because I was concerned about reviews that said their ivy faded immediately. I don’t know why that happened but it thankfully didn’t happen to me. Also have had some pretty strong winds recently, not a single leaf came off! I was pleasantly surprised! Still thrilled with this purchase!!!

Provides privacy and looks great. The terrace looks nice and cozy. The color is vibrant which gives it a rich appearance. Light weight and easy to install. I would have liked it zip tides would’ve been included in package. Some of the leaves do fall off which is something can’t be replaced but is not terribly noticeable. It’s a good choice for the investment. I would definitely recommend this item. Purchased item for privacy and for my 2 medium size dogs enjoy the balcony without distraction. Sturdy enough but not so easy to secure zip tides on the bottom.

We purchased this item to replace the privacy fence on our tennis court. In my personal opinion it is far better than any privacy fence cover available on the market today. It has a mesh cover on the backside which greatly enhances privacy, also helps in affixing the item onto the chain link fence. It breaths well and does not move much in strong wind. In order to cover the entire height of the fence, 8' high, we laid the item sideways (4' high and 14' wide), and place one cover above the other. Finding put that the items are designed to link together was a pleasant surprise and added to the ease and security of the installation. The item looks robust and ready to deal with mother nature. On the down side, some spots were bare, and the leaves are completely unrealistic when viewed up close. From a far it looks delightful. I highly recommend on chain link fences that are located far away from the observer. Left to discover: length of time before color starts fading.

Easy to install and looks amazing! There is some space between the ivy leaves, but it still provides excellent coverage and looks real. It’s been up for a week and hasn’t yet been rained on or been through a storm so I can’t speak to durability just yet.
