Used to drill and tap over 100 M8 x 1.25 holes in 3/8†304 stainless steel. Used a carbide drill bit and a high speed tap in a drill press. Finished the job with the same tap and drill bit that I started with

Outstanding!! Preserved drill bits sharpness and produced nice drill holes in short under. Also helped in drilling and tapping 8 drill holes in enclosed trailer frame to mount four stabilizers.The down side in using this cutting oil..as with any drilling/tapping/cutting fluid….it will smoke due to dissipating heat. But it’s what this fluid dies…keeps the heat down and allows drills/taps to do their function.Those metal flakes from drill bits are hot!! And it’s to be expected.I am impressed!

I've used this fluid for many years in the shop for slow hand tap and die work. It works great. When tapping on the lathe I use Cool Tool fluid as it seems to give an easier smoother thread cut at the higher speeds. I can recommend Tap Magic for slow speed thread cutting on mild steel, brass, and aluminum. It works on stainless as well but the slower you go the better it works. I prefer the metal can because it has a larger footprint and doesn't tip over as easily as the taller plastic bottle does. Apparently the steel can is being discontinued as I received the plastic bottle. As we are trying to decrease the amount of plastic we are using, it seems goofy to put this product in a plastic bottle instead of the biodegradable steel can that has worked just fine for 50 years.

I used it to drill out a broken bolt in my engine.I broke and dulled about 7 drill bits. None broke once I used the oil.Thanks for a good price on a quality product.

I will not drill steel without this stuff now, the difference it makes is incredible. The only downside, is everything gets very oily, obviously. But I love this product.I also used it to cut up some 3/8" and 5/16" thick tool steel, and it seemed to help me get alot more life out of my bandsaw blade.

I tried wd40, and other lubricant type liquids, but when I used this the difference was amazing! I'm tapping holes with ease now!
