They work very well. I wanted to secure some foam board to a concrete wall. I placed a fender washer on the tapcon and screwed it in the hole. Secures the foamboard to the wall with no issues.

tried to use to fasten 2x4 to concrete after predrilling with 5/32 SDS bit. Every single one I drove snapped well before being fully driven.cannot believe these are tapcon brand.I bought a slightly larger version from a big box and have been driving them all weekend (~75 anchors) with no ill effects. These just don't seem like the same product at all.

There is a reason that Tapcon® has been one of the top choices for concrete fasteners.... They work.As always, worked like a champ. If i could improve anything it would be to offer the same kit but with an SDS compatible bit. 5 Stars.

The drill bit provided went dull halfway through the box. I ran out and started using coated outdoor deck screws. Guess what? There was no difference in the hold or installation. Bye Tapcon!

Tapcons are the best of this type of screw, but anchoring in concrete with screws is always a bit dodgy. Concrete is inherently brittle so you can easily overtighten and strip these.I suggest as a minimum, also using a strong construction adhesive and just relying on these for shear strength, not to prevent pulling out of the concrete.

I bought these because of the 6 point head for fastening OSB to my cement floor. After breaking a few of the first bunch I made sure that the drill holes were thoroughly cleared. After breaking a bunch more of these I realized they are just garbage. You can see by the photos I was using a 5†bit which went right through the concrete so it wasn’t because they weren’t deep enough or cleaned out. One can see that they all break in roughly the same spot. I have about 50 left and 25 or so broken ( couldn’t find them all as I was throwing them in frustration) Will be sending back for refund. I can’t believe these are real Tapcons.
