There ARE differences in the center hole of these handles between Shimano, Diawa and Abu. This one claimed to fit the Abu and it absolutely worked perfectly. Even though this was a high end reel, Abu Garcia had discontinued manufacturing that specific reel handle?! Thanks to this replacement it's back in operation.

Love these handles, really comfortable. Great for horizontal moving baits....more moving less cranking. Downside is the cap screws that come with the handles are not compatible, thread wise, with my Abu Garcia reels?? Just reuse the original cap screws and save yourself some grief. Follow up: Well into the Texas summer now and the grips are holding up well...some soft foam grips can't hold up to the combination of heat and sweaty hands....they just waste away...its an ugly thing. Sweaty hands don't slip on these grips and that is one of the main reasons for changing to them...so far so good.
