Needed a new mount for my Prodigy P2. This housing fits right into the pocket of my center console pocket in my truck to secure the unit. Works great.

This mount is a lot sturdier and easier to mount than the plain strap type mounts that usually come with brake controllers. and the snap in feature makes it easy to use the same brake controller in more than one vehicle.

As others have noted... The P3 does not fit into this mounting pocket without some slight modification to the pocket itself. At the rear of the pocket, there is a little 'step' in the plastic to provide clearance for the connecting cable plug for whatever unit is intended to go into this pocket. But it's not enough for the P3 -- its plug is further to one side (the wrong side) and once the connecting cable is attached the P3 will not slide all the way into the pocket. You must shave off an approximately 1" x 1/4" piece of plastic from the rear in order to provide clearance for the connecting cable and its plug. I used a utility knife with sharp blade and removed the material a sliver at a time, took about 10 minutes to remove enough to allow proper clearance. Also the two clips on either side of the mounting pocket do not align with the two holes on either side of the P3 -- not even close. That doesn't seem like it will be a problem -- the P3 seems to be held quite securely in the pocket just from friction alone. I'll be mounting mine with the P3 facing upward, so gravity alone will be good enough for me. This pocket is -- in my view -- far better than either bracket that came with the P3, if for no other reason that it has an approximately 3" x 2.75" flat surface where I'm going to attempt to use sticky-back velcro to mount it to the car. I really don't want to put screw holes into my nice new car if I can avoid it. Time will tell. I'd give it 5 stars, but will deduct one for Tekonsha's failure to provide a bracket that exactly fits the P3
