I got these for sun protection when I'm outside gardening and landscaping. They are affordable and provide excellent coverage. I have long arms and the thumbhole are a little tight, but I mostly don't use that feature.I've taken to wearing these every day year round. In the summer they provide relatively cool sun protection. And in the winter they make a great baselayer. They probably aren't the coolest shirt in the summer, but they aren't bad. Not as good as light cotton or silk, but then you aren't getting SPF protection. The fabric is fairly thin. On hot humid days, it can get sticky, but I don't think any worse than anything else you'd wear for sun protection. The quality has been decent. I've had no signicant wear issues. I tend to wash them on gentle and in cold water. The only downside, is that they can build up some of that synthetic "stink".The sizing runs small. In the US, I usually wear a men's medium, but with these shirts I order a large and they fit perfectly... and for me that is slightly loose. I could probably wear a Medium for a tighter more skin tight fit, but I'm sure the sleeves would be a bit short for my long arms and I wouldn't want skin tight in hot weather.Overall, I love them. I have enough for every day of the week.

Used these in Death Valley and in St. George, UT. I really prefer them to the feel of sunscreen on my skin and they're nice and breathable in those hot environments. Sun protection is perfect--the hood kept my neck and bald spot from getting burned even in high-altitude hikes.

These are well worth the money for anyone regularly in the sun. They also look good and drape well over the body with the way they are cut. Rare to see in sun hoodies! I do have a couple gripes that are not deal breakers though: bugs LOVE the really bright colors. I wore these in the Everglades and the light blue was like a bug magnet compared to the darker color I wore. The thumb loops are nice, but when wearing them, the shoulders were pulled down too snug to allow freedom of movement in the shoulder area while I was fishing. Not a huge deal. These also pack incredibly small and are well worth their value. Absolutely recommend despite their small drawbacks.

Purchased these sun shirts when hiking and horseback riding in the Phoenix area and they worked well. Used them on both hot days to protect from the sun, and also on a cooler day as a lightweight layer. Kept cool when horseback riding on an 80+ degree sunny day. Can't beat the price $10 or $11 apiece - and I was pleasantly surprised by the athletic fit and the general quality. I had bought similar shirts a couple years ago and those were closer to $20 each. I would certainly buy these again.

I really like how much cooler theses run than sahara sunshade from rei. They are lighter weight fabric and fit well. For sure won't be as durable but for around $10ea. I like them better. Now I wear them to work instead of just hiking because of price point. Definitely recommend.

My husband owns and runs a remodeling business and is often in the sun 9 hours a day. It's difficult for him to wear sunscreen, because when he sweats it runs down his hands and makes it so he can't hold on to his tools well, even with the sweat proof sunscreens. And, there's also the having to reapply sunscreen every couple hours, which he never wanted to take the time to do, not to mention the weird orange staining it always left around the neck of his white t-shirts.However, with these UV shirts, it has made his job considerably more comfortable. He feels cooler with them on, as well. We like that they have a hood, because it protects his neck and ears, which would always be lobster red and blister, otherwise. When I bought them I really wasn't sure if he would use them, or not. But, he likes them a lot, and we both love that he's not getting burnt everyday! (He still gets a tan through them, though, because he's in the sun for so long. ) I really wish they had these 20 years ago! I bought enough so he has one for every day of the work week for the summers. As far as fit goes, he usually wears a medium shirt, but I knew these ran a little tight. I bought him the large and they fit him very well. They hug his big biceps, which looks great, but have just a little room around his not-as-fit stomach, without looking sloppy at all.

I bought a large based upon the comments with the arms. Maybe I have less than average arms, but the thumbholes fit just fine with a large (yes, I know that was the point of buying the large), but then the sleeve in general is too long, IMO, In addition, the shirt length is longer than I like. I like the shirt's material and will probably buy some more in the future, but will make sure I buy a medium. For context, 5'11", 185. Medium is what I usually buy. Hope this helps someone else.

We got these shirts for a hiking trip and they worked out great! From the lightweight and breathable fabric with the UPF protection you can’t go wrong. Not to mention at very reasonable price. Definitely recommend

Just what I need to keep the sun off while gardening. I usually wear a large t-shirt, but bought XL after reading some comments on sizing. XL gives me a nice loose fit for summer.
