Great product, super easy to use, built in thermometer is in Celsius, but the guide provided in box tells you what Celcius to use for your fried foods. Works great, I used it to deep fry some shrimp recently and it was perfect. Get a pair of long, cooking chopsticks and then you don't need a dedicated deep fryer. Pull the thermometer out and use it for hot pot in a pinch as well! Great stuff.

I was looking for a small fryer that would work on an induction eye, and this met my expectations. I am cooking for one. I own one of the larger basket types but find it too messy to use maybe once a week for small batches. I needed a small, simple, fryer that works for me.Experience on my first use: The metal is a little on the thin side but OK. It has a solid bottom, and it took awhile to heat to 350, about 20 minutes, which about the time it takes my bigger fryer. But once it reached the desired temperature, it was easy to maintain and a pleasure to use. I tested the thermometer (F) that came with the unit, and it was accurate. Tater tots, curly fries, and poppers came out perfect. The unit was easy to clean up but be careful of the sharp edges on the lid. The small pour spout was a nice touch when refilling the oil bottle. I was surprised that with out a splatter screen there was very little splatter, and when you do see it about to explode, you can close the lid to avoid the splatter. I found the little screen on the lid basically useless and easily flips off if not careful. I removed it on the second batch as it didn't work for me. This is not a negative as I am sure some will find it useful. If there is a negative it would be the sharp edges on the lid and would be willing to pay more for a sturdier, thicker sterling silver pot. It is worth the money as is.Overall I would recommend this fryer if cooking for one or two people. It is simple, does the job, and easy to clean up. Being small, it was easy to find a spot on the counter or shelf. I would buy again.

Even though I just cooked for one person, I find the pot to be too small. It feels like it might tip over. But honestly, I was able to fry several pieces of chicken and use the top as a drain for the oil. Very convenient and it actually worked. I liked having the thermometer in the pan so that I can see exactly what temperature I have. So perhaps my fears are not found it. I’m just used to having larger and heavier containers when I’m dealing with hot oil. So cautiously, I’ll give it a good rating for now but if there is an accident, I don’t think I’d be surprised.

I love this frying pot so much I have purchased it for myself and twice as gifts! I have a partner and sometimes we cook for guest, and this is the perfect size for us as well as easy to clean.

Bought the tempura fry pot. I received it and it was dented. The lid does not fit on it properly. It says that it is stainless steel, but it sure feels like this is cheaply made. As far as Amazon customer service goes when trying to return something they don’t listen to you they talk over you they have the worst customer service.

I've seen some bad reviews and glad we didn't listen. This little deep fryer is great for 2 people and it uses very little oil. We've been using this for fish fries with about 28-32 oz of oil or about 3 cups. We heat it up into the high end of the red on the gauge and it fries fish quick in about 3-4 min. We reuse the oil by sifting it into a graduated glass container til next fish fry. I can't find much fault with this for the price; it's a clever design and very easy to use and clean. I have seen the reviews saying sharp edges but didn't have that with this one. If you're on the fence the only thing I can say is we really like ours.

For some reason I thought it had a basket. It is so small.
