I have purchased several metal cabinets so I know what to look for in this area. I needed a cabinet that could hold a substantial amount of weight on each shelf. Like 100 to 150 pounds "per shelf." This product is very impressive for the money! I was not expecting such high quality! Very well built, heavy duty and strong. Can hold a lot of weight on each shelf. Very professionally packaged as well. Came with no dents, no defects. Paint is very high quality. Welded joints are great! Doors operate smoothly and do not bind. I am certainly going to recommend this cabinet to others.

Purchased this to store various gun related supplies and equipment. Very roomy. I added motioned operated LED lights as it is very dark in the back and corners of the shelves. The gauge of the metal is fine, somewhat thin, but sturdy. The locking mechanism works well, but after a few days, starting to stick a little. I was able to adjust it slightly to work better. Lock and key work great. If you need space and shelving to lock up simple items, this works well.

I chose this cabinet after doing a lot of research and reading many reviews on similar products. This was a great choice! It literally got to my office less than 24 hours after I ordered it. It came fully assembled and was packaged very securely. We use it to hold reams of copy paper and supplies and it is very sturdy and really good quality. I would highly recommend this product!

The lock is very poorly constructed and fell apart shortly after we started using this. We then had to physically remove the lock to begin using the door again.

If the product arrives in good shape, it's a great cabinet. But beware, it's improperly transported which results in very visible damages. We ordered this one time, it arrived slightly dented but we were ok with it. The next one we ordered, arrived absolutely damaged, we returned it.The replacement ALSO arrived damaged, so we gave up and bought something else.

Rods in the door with the handle to keep door closed came slightly bent. Have to press inward a little to get the door rods to go through the holes properly for closing door securely. Paint on one cabinet is fine. Paint on the other looks like they messed up. Little drop specs all over the top and rough feel.Tennsco makes nice cabinets overall but expect issues with them. Some are painted fine. Some will have a line of paint residue requiring sand paper to get smooth (like my tall height cabinet from Tennsco). Or your top might come rough and textured (like my short height).Their paint department is need of an education from professional metal painters who do quality work. I can't paint anything due to lack of skill, but I know better than to ship a paint job like this to a customer that's on the top of a finished product. I don't like that paint job. It's for my parents and they think it's good enough for them. Work like this shouldn't reach the end customer. Where is their quality control? The paint ought to be top notch on the top, that's what people are going to see all the time when it's closed (or open). Out of two short height cabinets, one is fine, one is not.I don't know what's up with the bent rods in the doors. Both cabinets I ordered had bent rods. No damage to boxes. The cabinet sits on a thick piece of cardboard, you have to lift the cabinet off that to get the cardboard out; there must be a trick to it that I don't know. Every time I try (whether the short height or tall height), I end up mangling something on the underside getting that piece out. So I tried tilting it this time. But if that tilt mangled their rods, then that's just bad. It ought to be able to take a tilt to get that cardboard out. Overall, I don't like the door rods for bending or the rough top on one of them. When washing down the cabinet, black stuff came out. I hope it's shipping dust and not the paint. And yes, you will need to wipe it down. The shipping dust gets into it.I just want it to be higher quality, you know. And consistent! My tall two cabinets have no bent rods in the doors. The short ones do. The quality just is not consistent and I have come to just expect issues with their cabinets like paint and now, bent rods in the doors. Which my dad says 'that's fine, they're all like that.' My tall two are not like that. Reading reviews on Sandusky and other cabinets, I won't even try one of those cabinets. This is not something that shows up by UPS. It takes time to get this from the freight delivery, unwrap it, and get it inside. You shouldn't have a rough paint finish on the top of a short cabinet. You take it back to the paint shop and have it redone. You don't send it out for delivery to customers.

This things a beast! , as my younger friends would put it. I'll never buy that crap from OfficeMax again after this. What a great product. The metals thicker than that which you'll find in a office supply store. The delivery guys were great as well. White glove all the way. You've earned my future business Tennsco, thank you.

We got this cabinet to store copy paper next to the copier. The cabinet fit our purposes exactly. It will hold 30 reams of copy paper, with enough room left to store an extra toner cartridge and empty collection bottle. The top is handy for sorting papers or using as a desk top. This is a great little cabinet!
