These aren't the strongest so you'll want to use light weight curtains with them. I don't suggest hanging anything too heavy from them. They are easy to use and come in handy. I ended up using them vertically in my window as safety rails because I live upstairs and my cats love leaning on the screen and I don't want them to fall out of the window.

we bought out first batch at a home improvement store, then bought a set of these on Amazon. there is NO COMPARISON. AMAZON purchase is FAR better - rods are thicker - so they are a much sturdier, and cost 75% less than those in stores. so many uses for these.
