I purchased this as a third hand to hold a micrometer. No issues with the quality or function of this stand. It has a pretty heavy and stable base so it stays put and the jaw holds a micrometer well enough that it doesn't move around when you're using it.

I ordered this one over the less expensive one because it had the rubber feet pads as shown in the photo description. However, it came without them.
