It's real. Honey smell, mildly sticky when room temp to slightly warm how it should be, softens when warm and melts perfectly when heated. It smells so delicious you'd want to take a bite lol. It's real. (That's why it's so pricey, but it's legit). (Bulk apothecary is freaking awesome and where you want to go for much more affordable beeswax that is also 100% the real thing but without such intense honey smell or yellow coloration- they have yellow and white and both are fantastic for different uses), but this quality, scent and look is outstanding if you're looking for wax to make candles of 100% beeswax that smell like heavenly honey. This wax makes your mouth water.

Ok so I bought this to attempt to make my own hand balm. I've never used beeswax before but wow this stuff smells great. I don't know what I was expecting it to smell like hahaha but I love it, the quality is great. It was my first attempt at making balm and it worked well 👍

Absolutely wonderful beeswax! The fragrance alone is worth the cost. The wax is very pure and natural. I can’t wait to use it in a project.

It's a pound of beeswax. It's exactly what I wanted and it was exactly what I received. I melted them into 2 medium-large candles in Mason jars and they burn a lot longer than the soy candles my wife buys. I scented one with a linen scent and the other I left as is. Neither has a strong scent but I bought them for light, not scent.I'll always buy U.S. made products if given the option, Made in Texas, even better. That being said, $30 a pound is a bit on the pricey side. Next order I'll get the 5lb. option which comes out to $21 a pound and be set on candles for a year or two.

This beeswax block is fantastic and seems to be 100% pure beeswax, which is strangely hard to find these days. It has a natural beeswax feel with a subtle, pleasant scent that isn’t overpowering. The block is generously sized, allowing you to cut away strips or pieces as needed while still having plenty left for spare and easy storage. I appreciate that it appears to be true beeswax without any additives or chemicals, which is exactly what I needed. So far, I can't find anything wrong with it, and I absolutely love it. Highly recommended!

The first thing I noticed was it has a strong smell like honey, it smells nice. It's a pale yellow color with no chalkiness or white spots. It seems fresh. Another reviewer said his had a branding of "Chicago Metallic" stamped at the top. Mine does too however he assumed it was made in Chicago. Chicago Metallic is a manufacturer or bakeware like pans and stuff. I emailed the seller about what it has this branding even though it's advertised as made in Texas. Will post reply here. In any case it seems like real beeswax and good quality, if you rub hard on it you will hear a squeak sound which is one test to see if it's real and the smell test. The only reason 4 stars is because the price could be better*updateI just got a response from the seller:Thank you for reaching out with your concern. Our beeswax, as listed is 100% pure Texas Beeswax. The molds we use to pour our 1lb block have the Chicago Metallic emblem imprinted because we use that brand for our molds. The product itself is 100% pure beeswax cleaned to food grade.I hope this helps answer your question. Thank you again and have a great day.translation: I just realized what is happening here. Chicago Metallic is indeed a bakeware kitchen brand. they are using their cake/ meatloaf pans to pour their beeswax into. it makes sense now why the writing is backwards , it's not a branding, it's simply the imprint on the cake/meatloaf pans transferring over to their product. mystery solved. it is indeed real beeswax

I’ve read that pure beeswax should smell like honey, and this is exactly how the beeswax smell when I open up the package! Wish it was available in small beads for easier handling and weighing without needing to break it up, but happy with my purchase nonetheless
