My daughter is 5, but she is tall. She is in size 8 girls pants & shorts. I recommend these shorts because they go right above her knee. They are NOT short shorts, which are totally inappropriate for girls any age. They look great with every style, and look great placed under dresses as well. She is also thin, so the alastic pulls are fantastic. These should last her 2 summers! Thank you! Great job & style

My daughter is a tall 9 year old. I typically buy 10/12 shorts for her. I bought these in a size 12 cause I was hoping they would be a bit big. They fit just right and look cute but I had to let out the adjustable straps on the sides and help button them. It your girl has curves and it tall size up... a lot more than I did. I won't return cause they are cute and we will use them for a bit.
