These grounding rods installed easily. I was able to pound them through rocky soil without much trouble. As an extra bonus, the packaging during shipment was outstanding. In an era when so many items are simply thrown in a box, the care in which they were packaged was refreshing.

This is my second time ordering one of these. The first time I used it to ground an antenna mast, and the second to replace the original ground rod for my electrical service. The one I had was old and corroded. I left the old one and tied the two together on a ground bus bar, then I strapped all of my ground leads to the busbar. It was stout, not overly expensive, and easy to install.

I bought these to provide close-in ground points for my cable and Ethernet surge protectors. I installed them as close as possible to the points where cabling enters the house, in order to minimize the ground path length. Long wires act as inductors to impulse currents, like lightning surges, and are ineffective; in my case, a line to connect to the house ground would render my protective devices almost useless. These rods let me minimize the path length and get the most protection possible.The quality and finish are excellent, packaging was safe and secure, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.
