Where to start...I purchased this to prank my office staff. The ladies in the office are a ton of fun, always joking around and having fun, and absolute rockstars at their jobs. They're meticulous and detail oriented, not much gets by them...The kind of environment you enjoy working in, work hard play hard. Enter the little tiny noisemaker. I hid it in a decoration located centrally between the 3 offices, but closer to 2 of them with the beep muffled ever so slightly by it's hiding place. The hiding place was key, due to the short duration of the beep which sounds like a smoke detector alert, it makes the sound very non-directional and hard to pinpoint. That combined with the logic in the board that guarantees there's no rhyme or reason to the frequency of the alert made for the perfect 2 week run of mayhem.It started out as a minor annoyance, but the search escalated quickly. I of course helped them look for the mystery beep, pulling down smoke detectors, checking batteries, unplugging appliances that might possibly be the source. Nothing seemed to help. I checked in with them periodically to see if the noise had abated and even suggested a couple times that they may just be imagining the beep. They started recording the times that it would beep, to try to decipher a pattern that might lead to solving the mystery. I encouraged and supported their efforts the whole time, being as helpful as I possibly could!I announced my prank in the weekly company meeting which got a ton of laughs, and am now walking on pins and needles because I know retribution is coming my way...100% worth it! Do not use this on someone if you're not prepared for them to plot revenge.I can verify that the beeping is as random as could be for anyone that needs to explore their diabolical side, this is a great way to go.5 stars, highly recommend.

I put in two my son’s stocking. He is driving everyone nuts. Except for me because I know what it is. He put one in his sister’s room and one and the kitchen. My husband keeps asking me,†do hear that beep, or what sounds like a creeping door?†Me,†no. My daughter was about to get in her car and drive around to clear her head. I moved it. It’s fun and a great price for a cool prank. He just started using it today so I can’t say if the battery life is good or if it’s durable. But, it’s not too loud. It’s perfect for a prank.

Sounds quality is good but only loud enough in a quite environment. So far battery is good and functioning as it should. You never know when it's going to go off so if can drive people crazy! $14 of a little high. If the battery didn't last I'd return. Descent value.

This product delivered. 10/10 prank device. I give my brother and sister in law an ornament every Christmas Eve. I snuck and hung the annoying pcb on their Christmas tree during the party. I was worried that no one would notice and no one did until the 26th when we met for our family Christmas time. They still couldn’t find the ornament. I suggested they wait until it’s quiet and the realization hitting their whole family at the same time was priceless. Knowing they had ladders checking smoke alarms and checking their appliances was worth the wait and reveal! 100% recommend.

I used this to drive my boss MAD for days! The cricket chirping sound is the best! On day 3 I found him crawling around his office in search of the obnoxious cricket! It was pure bliss!Cannot recommend highly enough!!

I was disappointed with this prank device, even though it did everything they said it would. It was easy to change sounds and simple to turn on/off. I chose the “cricket†sound and placed the device in the room where my family would be. It doesn’t go off very often, but when it does, you could hear it with no problem. The sound I chose sounds like a cricket, but it also resembles the alert from a smoke detector when the battery needs to be changed. I let it go on for awhile without saying anything, but when my sister started saying they needed to get the ladder from the shed and check the battery. I had to admit I was attempting to play a joke. It didn’t work out the way I wanted, since I envisioned them searching for a cricket and this never happened.

I love this. I saw it on my recommended for some reason and knew I had to get it. I put it in my sisters closet behind some shoes she never wears and it is SO hard to keep a straight face when she comes into my room telling me I HAVE to help her figure out where the beeping is coming from. I feel bad sometimes but then I remember, what are sisters for if not to drive each other insane? The best part is that the beeps are completely random so you can’t stand in different spots of the room and wait for it to go off to see where it’s at. There’s a bunch of different tones including dog whistle beeps which would’ve been a little too cruel if I had that one set. Anyways 10/10 I love it.

Not that I have a great suggestion, I just feel like there needs to be a Nuclear-option for an annoying sound for really special cases. The cricket is pretty good, but I can't help but think there is something better out there.
