My husband is a mechanic, and so often as a bonus to his customers, I’ll go in and restore the black of their bumpers and trim pieces just because I like seeing the results. This stuff works really great, especially if the part is really dry and worn, like in this picture. This stuff is easy to use and lasts awhile.

Just applied this today , top first picture is the before faded and the bottom and second picture are immediately after using the product. Time will tell for how this product will hold but the initial application is looking wonderful

I used this to restore the "rubbermade bumpers" on my 2006 Honda Element. The product did as advertised turning the streaked, faded plastic a nice dark black color again. The car looks brand new! I cant speak to the longevity of it yet, but it retained its color through the first wash and my main goal was to darken and even out the color.PREPARATION: -This is a black stain, so there was a lot of preparation involved not to make a mess or get dark marks where you don't want it. I spent a lot of time getting the plastic spotlessly clean. Washed, scrubbed and cleaned with alcohol, then rinsed and dried again until no dirt was coming off. I suspect some of the people complaining that this didn't work or that it went back to dull grey after getting wet did not clean the surfaces enough beforehand. Porous materials and light grey plastic will need to be completely masked off. It wipes off of gloss paint very easily - so I disagree you need to mask the color-coat.APPLICATION: Yes- its messy. You need gloves and a lot disposable towels. I did not use the applicator supplied with the kit- its too large for precise application IMO. I used a set of disposable foam brushes in several sizes that could be used more precisely and could get inside any edges to the moldings. A little goes a long way, and its best to apply as thin a coat as possible and wipe off excess. Any towels you use will be trash afterwards. A day later when I could see a few thin spots I just reapplied to even it out.FOLLOW UP: This did not dry out as quickly as I expected. I had to keep a roll of paper towels handy and kept wiping down any suspicious areas. I was still getting black schmutz wiping off for a few days, so there is a danger of staining your clothes if you brush up against it before it cures. I would NOT use this on the interior of my car for that reason, unless it was a floor mat that could be removed and left out to be completely dry/free of transfer danger.VALUE- This large bottle will last FOREVER and I would have preferred not to buy the "kit". My vehicle has a huge amount of plastic, but I used only a tiny portion. I guess the value is good given this is a lifetime supply? I tried in vain to find the smaller bottle sold alone. It's sold out everywhere for obvious reasons.6 months later: The plastic is still a nice dark color. Again- I think that proper preparation is important if you want this to work properly.

This product works exceptionally well on faded trim. I have purchased all of the usual 'Back to Black' waste of time products on the market, and granted, they work for a couple of weeks, some only a couple of days, and you're back to the same old faded trim.Well NOT with Solution FinishThis stuff comes in a BIG 12oz bottle. Considering you only need a few drops on the applicator sponge, this bottle is going to last me a VERY long time.Within this kit comes a pair of gloves that I HIGHLY recommend you use. As it's a black liquid, I HIGHLY recommend you don't spill it when applying it to your applicator sponge like I did either. (Had to get the pressure wash out to clean it up after doing so LOL)Solution Finish is a simple Wipe On - Wipe Off product, that gives immediate results. And best part of all, it doesn't come off with the pressure washer, sunlight doesn't fade it out, and it last for monthsIf you're sick of all the BS promises other products premise, but never deliver, get your some Solution FinishYou won't be sorry if you do

This product works, just doesnt last very long on parts that are exposed to the weather, but that's to be expected. I've used it on car mats and they're not terribly slippery, so that's a plus over other products.

Great product but it arrived cracked and leaking in the package. We needed to get the job done so we made it work, but this was a Royal mess and we had to throw out the extra.

Incredible. Bought all the very milky chalky black back to its original color and shine. Follow instructions to apply and put a ceramic coat over the top. Still like new 6 months later.

This stuff is magic. I've used a few other plastic trim restoration products and they do ok on most plastic. But, the more porous plastics like stock f150 fender flares always took multiple applications, faded after a few months and never looked as good as they once did.So far this stuff has made my flares look brand new again. I don't know how long they'll last, but most people say it lasts years.It was easy to apply, taking just a few minutes per flare. If you get it on the paint, simply use the supplied cloth to wipe it off (I'd wipe in within a minute, didn't want to risk stains).Also, if you don't have multiple cars that are half faded plastic, just get the one ounce bottle. A little goes a long way. You could easily do several Chev Avalanches with an ounce.

I was looking for a product that would restore the black plastic on my vehicle without the need to go to a car detailing company. This product was found and it looked like it would do what I was expecting so I ordered. I have subsequently received the product and used and the results are pretty good. I was amazed how easy it was to apply and the end results brings the plastic back to near new, impressive. I will definitely be ordering another supply to ensure I can continue to apply when needed. Another great product.

My 2019 Hyundai Kona is parked outside during Canadian Winters and washed weekly. The plastic trim was starting to look a little pale, so based on the reviews I purchased this product. WOW!It was super easy to apply, with little to no cleanup.This car hasn't looked this good since the day it rolled off the lot five years ago!Super happy with this product!

Product arrived on time and as advertised but with a broken lid. Was packaged in bubble wrap but lid was cracked when opened. Hope product doesn’t dry out too quickly now. A bit awkward to shake product sufficiently with a broken top. Otherwise good.

I wanted to clean up the look of my 2007 Jeep wranglers bumpers and fenders, tried the stuff you get at Canadian Tire, they looked ok when wet, but when they dried, nothing.Wiped this stuff on, night and day difference, instantly looked like new, the faded plastic was no more and the jeep looks 1000% better.If you are looking to restore black plastic, this stuff is amazing.
