I can't believe I've waited all these years to get chains for my snowblower. I have ~300 feet of driveway that goes uphill and often required some muscle to make it to the top. Can't wait to see how it climbs now. Of course, now that I have chains, it may not even snow again!! Loved the You tube video that ROP posted. It made it really easy to get it all right the first try!

I got these to put on the front tires of my garden tractor to improve steering in the snow while plowing ( they kept sliding creating a hell of a wide turn radius). These in addition to filling the front tires with RV antifreeze did the trick. Works much better now. Its nice that the gauge of the links on these is thicker than the chains on the rear tires....really helps them to grab. They installed easily and stay in place, however, it would have been nice if the springs of the retainers were a bit shorter for more tension, but still, they work good.

Here in snow country, sometimes you need that extra grip to clear the path. And any added assistance is not only helpful, but sometimes needed. These fit the tires, but were rather slack, so we needed to tighten them up a bit when putting them on. ALSO BUY THE SPRING SET! The springs were needed and glad they were purchased at the same time. Now snow removal is less tiresome.

1, both chains had the hooks installed backward. Rubbing on my tire. I noticed that someone had left tool marks on them. Not sure if they were used, returned or what. 2, had to close both locking links, as they would not slide in to lock into the adjacent link. 3, had to clip the ends of the tension springs to move them up onto the heavier links. They were very loose holding the chains. I was able get them to fit, but not impressed with the fit. Note, I doubled checked my tire size what I ordered. 16 x 6.5 x 8. I also tried deflating the tire then installing the chains, very loose fit. After removing 3 links on the hook side, and closing locking link so it would fit into the smaller link I got a fairly good fit. I wont use this company again. I got more chains to buy for wifeys snowblower. Shopping another brand. As a side bar, there are no photos or images in the installation instructions for these chains. Only written word. Not helpful at all.

I gave these chains 5 stars because they came just as advertised. They are quality built, the tensioner work great and are easy to install. Unfortunately for me they didn’t work as I had hoped. I installed them on the front tires of my 2 W.D. Kubota garden tractor hoping it help steer on the icy pavement. Not so much. It would have been much better had I had 4W.D.

Put these on my Honda HT-R3009 along with a Craftsman/MTD front mounted plow and with a little weight in the back these burrow right down into the snow and grab whatever is undernewth. Clearences are a little tight with that model mower but it works!Hooks will make you feel like an idiot if youve never put them on before but grab a good set of pliers and a little YouTube courage and youll be fine.
