IF OUR SUCTION CUP DOESN'T WORK ON YOUR SURFACE, NO SUCTION CUPS WILL. If the product falls off your surface, you can't use products with suction cups. Like any suction cup, it works best with non-porous surfaces. Will not work on porous stone such as travertine. It will last forever on glass, mirror, and smooth tile. However, surfaces like brushed stainless steel/copper and some plastic shower surrounds, are actually slightly porous. On these slightly porous surfaces, the suction only lasts for a few hours to a day. Plenty long enough to have your drink in the shower, but it will not stay for weeks like truly non-porous surfaces. This is true for all suction cups, even though ours is the highest quality and rated at 7 lbs strength. A separate adhesive disc can be purchased for installation on nearly any surface.
Strength depends on application. Apply to dry surfaces only- wet surfaces with condensation should be dried first. A tiny lick on the suction cup sometimes increases strength, depending on the surface. Please test the application before use, and always use SipCaddy responsibly. Not intended for use with glass vessels.

***Update***So it's been two years, and my suction cup has fallen one time, that's it. And that was after I had messed with it and moved it around. You do need a little moisture behind your suction cup to help it stick, so wet it with some water first. Great to enjoy an ice cold beer after a long days work!So far, so good. No issues whatsoever with suction. I'd say most reviews here either need to clean their shower, or spit on the suction cup some. Definitely makes a shower beer (or La Croix) more enjoyable without fear of it falling or getting soapy. I have this stuck to my plain jane plastic tub/shower up high. After sticking it on there, I applied a good bit of pressure (far more than any beer would weigh) and it didn't budge. I wouldn't hang a swing on it, but it'll hold any size full beer that will fit, no problem. I like how this can hold multiple different vessels (stemmed wine glass or beer, etc). This works well to hang my loofa on to dry out after I'm done showering!My main reason for choosing this one over the other popular option was that with the other "coozie" version, the velcro was a deterrent for me. Something about velcro and water doesn't seem to bode well.One last thing, if you love shower beers, try a shower-orange in the morning! It's super refreshing and really wakes you up. Actually works really well holding weight of a can! I got this for my fiancés birthday, and he got a good laugh out of it! It’s actually really practical as well… if you are in need of a place to store a shower drink!We struggled the first 15 seconds to get it to stick, but once we added some water, it held very nicely!Good product and a easy gift idea:-)

This product is exactly what is depicted in the photos. I gave it to my grandma as a birthday present and everyone loved it. It is funny, useful, while still being thoughtful.

This works awesome but for some reason after a shower and then the next day when taking another shower it ends up falling every time but no issues while using it.

Overheard my boss talking about shower beers. We had a nice conversation about it. I tend to just hold my shower beer and set it down on my corner seat if I have to. I guess not everyone has somewhere to set their beers. He talked about inventing a beer caddy. I came across this and thought it was a great gift. He took it home and tested it right away. We were a little skeptical and thought that the suction wouldn't stay. He put a beer bottle in and left it there for a few hours. It was still there. He wasn't 100% sure so he drank the beer and left it on. The next day it was still stuck to his shower wall. He now uses it without doubts. I like that it opens and gives options for different types of glassware. It works with wine glasses, beer bottles, solo cups. I wouldn't recommend any fancy glassware or heavy glasses. If you are willing to drink a beer or wine in the shower, I hope you aren't too good to use plastic cups.

the item came on time and well package, it does what is intended to do. like so much my hubby also used it to hold his phone while relaxing and watching his shows. very steady and versatile. have not used to hold more than 1lb i think that will be a cup and would need a bigger cup holder lol. so far no complains if anything would order another one.

I read all the reviews on this item and decided to give them a try myself as the reviews were somewhat mixed. I will have to go with all of the reviewers that stated that the suction is questionable at best. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. I had good luck the first 2 or 3 times and got confident and decided to drink my champagne in my garden tub in my good crystal champagne glass...... The glass is broken now but re-ordered... since then I don't trust the caddy and went back to my cheap glassware or plastic flutes and am not upset or surprised when it falls off despite my ensuring that everything is prepped and ready for success. I would say if you really need or want it, get it but beware. If you are on the fence and like the idea, don't buy it, it's a waste of money.

Oh my gosh, this little devise is just so much fun! The suction works really well. I bought it for my husband as a gift, knowing he'd like the cans and I could use it for wine glasses. I haven't tried a wine glass in it yet, but it does work great for the cans!

I bought this as a joke, but I find I'm more and more satisfied with it every day. It's really sturdy, and useful for other things, like holding shampoo bottles upside down. :)
