I bought size 10W. The toe box delivers, nice and wide and I don’t feel pinched. Strap is long enough to suit ankles of any size. The sole and heel are a bit slippy right out of the box so I’d recommend breaking them in. These are the most comfortable, right out of the box, character shoes I have ever purchased!

I am really hard to find shoes for due to having flat, wide feet and tight heel cords. As a cosplayer, creativity is key. These shoes have comfortable cushioning and did not dig in anywhere, making finding these perfect for character acting (I specialize in comedy) and cosplay. They were reasonably priced and arrived incredibly fast, on top! Check these out and you will be pleasantly surprised as they come in a wide variety of sizes.

I ordered these a few days prior to opening night of my very first show-- and they came just in time; saving me from what might've been a character shoe emergency.Throughout the shows, though, I took mental notes of the positive and negatives of the shoe from a theatrical perspective.PROS:> appearance of the shoe is very standard; fits most characters, aligning with the industry's standard of "character shoes".> the height and thickness of the heels is comfortable, enough-- coming from someone who always wears sneakers. the heel of the shoe is at a comfortable height.> came very fast; although i do use prime, so not sure how shipping times look for those without the membership.CONS:> probably the worst of all-- the straps!!! this show had a lot of quick changes that included me changing shoes, and trying to use such a cheaply made buckle quickly during an adrenaline rush was just a nightmare every night. very difficult to actually stick the metal through the hole of the strap, which was so frustrating; this might be easier for someone who wears strapped heels more often, but still. this is the sole reason i will likely purchase a different brand once my next show comes around.> while not horrible, this show can get a little uncomfortable when worn for long periods-- particularly as someone with wide feet.TAKE NOTE:These shoes, like most theatrical shoes, are naturally very slippery out-of-box (especially on stage). It was crucial for me to scuff them up via scraping them on some concrete in order for them to not slip around on stage-- or, some castmates of mine would take a screwdriver to the bottoms of their new character shoes. To each their own, right?In all, I'm appreciative of these shoes getting me out of a pinch, but the straps are hard to use and are the reason I'll probably purchase new shoes from elsewhere.

I have wide feet and it's always a gamble if manufacturers give you way too much or too little room when they say a show is wide width. These are perfect. Very comfy. Just enough room without the shoes feeling like clown shoes. A bit longer than I expected, but that's okay with me. They don't feel like they'll last forever, but they'll for sure get me through two years of school rehearsals. For $20, I couldn't ask for better.

The shoes are great. But I hate the fact that they were late in getting to me. I had expected them to be delivered by Dec. as I needed them for a Nutcracker performance that I was in.

I just got done wearing these for a total of five hours during tech rehearsal (after breaking them in a bit at home), and I’m now left with pained pinkie toes. I was excited to see a wide width available for relatively cheap on Amazon, since my last pair of Capezios bit the dust, so I bought them in anticipation of wearing them for my upcoming show. These are now pretty much useless to me. Having a wider foot, I found that the width was okay. I went down a half size per some reviews, and the length was great. But the stiffness of the uppers dug into my little toes on each foot, and by the end of rehearsal, I had to strip them off during notes because they hurt so bad. The synthetic uppers are likely to blame—they are stiff and don’t seem like they will soften at all. Additionally, I almost wiped out when I took some brisk steps in them, so beware of that. They also had an ungodly chemical odor that took two days to air out. They’re just not worth your time, in my opinion. Cheap isn’t always better, as I’ve found. Despite a couple minor selling points (price and wide width), I’d pass on these.

The look as they advertised but they are not very comfortable even though they have a small heel. My 15 year old tried them on at home for her dance routine and said that they will blister her feet at practice and competition. I think they will be great for theater performance though, just not dance.

We got these for my daughter to wear for her musical theatre performance. They are well made and comfortable. I would only recommend wearing them on stage to protect the bottoms.

These Adult Character Shoes fit just right for me and are very comfortable. However, this specific pair of character shoes arrived with drops of what smells like strong smelling shoe polish or something similar to that smell. The smell is all over both shoes as well as inside the shoes. I have left them outside to air out since the smell is quite strong and fills my home. Hopefully after some time I will be able to use them when the strong smell is gone.
