The contact frame is solid and well-built, felt like a quality piece of metal. No defects noted on my unit.Installing the contact frame was very straightforward, and the provided instructions were clear. All it required was removing the existing retention bracket, placing the new contact frame over the cpu, and screwing it into place. I would recommend placing the motherboard on a piece of anti-static foam when doing this. It lowers the change of shorting any components, and it keeps all brackets on the back of the motherboard in place.The contact frame provided a nice even pressure to the cpu for better contact with my AIO cooler, and helps to reinforce that area of the motherboard as well. Running my cpu through some stress tests after installation, I noted no issues with performance. Good temperatures and my cpu was able to run at it's max clock speed with no thermal throttling. Stable throughout with no crashes.As a bonus, if I ever want to switch out my cpu the cleanup should be easier. The contact frame helps keep the thermal paste from getting everywhere.
