Very comfortable, and easy to inflate. It keeps the air in very well. The mattress stays inflated even throughout the week. This newer version is much quieter compared to the old version.

This mattress has a very good one-way valve and can be inflated very hard with simple lung power. With this mattress, I sleep better in the backcountry than any time since my youth.

This mattress is super comfortable, and very warm. However you can look at this thing and spring a leak on it. I took it out on two trips so far. After the 2nd one, it has formed multiple tiny leaks that I just can’t seem to find the end of. I have already patched 4 and it’s still not holding air. I have filed 2 repair requests with thermarest and have not received a response in over a week. With how little I used it, and how careful I was not to mistreat it, I can’t imagine ever taking it into the back country where it might come into contact with a grain of sand that will pop right through and ruin my trip. I have lost my window for return through amazon, but I still think thermarest should make it right. Hopefully they get back to me at some point and this thing doesn’t end up in the trash.

I Purchase is fine for the extra large size and the fact that it doesn’t make a lot of noise. I have to say this product is lived up to this.

Pros:- the claims about being quieter are legit. Its damn near silent- the pad is very comfortable- the pad is very lightweight compared to competitorsCons:- the pad sleeps cold- the winglock valve is the worst valve on the market. The included pumpsack is useless. This is mostly mitigated if you buy a flextailgear mp2 pro pump, which isnt so bad because thats a fantastic bit of kit either way, but I don't understand the refusal to go with the flush valve. The pump inflasted it quickly though, and I bring that anyway, so whatever- the repair kit that is advertised to come with this pad was not included. Would have been annoying if I decided to keep the pad, as I would have had to return and repurchase anyway hoping the next one had itMy experience with the pad:I decided to test it in the backyard, temps were 38 at night dropping to 31 in the early morning. I've used pads with less R value in this weather, including sea to summit comfort plus and etherlight. I used a Sawatch quilt, overkill for this weather. I was very comfortable at night and fell asleep easily. At 12:30am or so, I woke up from the cold coming up through the pad. My hip wasn't at the ground, but air pressure inevitably dropped (happens with all air pads when temp drops, simple science just like wheels on your car), and it completely lost insulating ability when the pressure wasn't maxed anymore and it literally felt like my hip and shoulder was on ice. I think the R value is under ideal conditions when the pad is fully inflated, and the tech in these pads isn't as resilient to temperature and pressure drops as ones with synthetic insulation.Your mileage may vary. In the northeast it drops to the 30s often even in late spring and early fall up in the mountains at night, so this pad isn't for me. I need to be warm, and this can't handle the wee hours of the night in my experience.

I wanted to love this sleeping pad. I have a Big Agnes Rapide SL which is SO comfortable and quiet, and when Thermarest came out with the rectangular NeoAir XLite, I hoped I could replace the Rapide with this to save 6 ounces plus some space in my pack. I was surprised to find that while it is lighter, it’s nearly the same size as the Rapide packed. It seemed comfortable, but not enough to replace my beloved Rapide with its higher side baffles. So my search for a lighter/more compact pad continues.

Wide and very comfortable I can’t believe I took this long to invest in a wide, Thermo rest, having used a single whilst camping many years, tossing and turning. The only downside is the inflation mechanism, which requires an inflation bag, which can take on average 15 minutes to inflate with quite a lot of physical effort rolling and un rolling the bag. Electronic pumps are available, but they are very weighty, especially if you are camping touring or hiking.
