Used to reduce cabin heat from 2016 Honda pioneer 1000-5. Made a HUGE difference in heat and noise reduction. Another nice feature is no fiberglass irritation. I was able to install without feeling itchy afterwards. I can now comfortably drive my UTV in the summer. This fit great and had plenty of material to bring up back side of front seat on my 1000-5. It wasn't too hard to do once you removed the appropriate panels. I did have to remove foam from one of the panels to reattach properly. I took off middle seat belt and cut a hole and reattached seat belt. You also have to make sure the bench seat latches on properly after adding this material. I had to tweak a bit. I used this thermal guard and also attached bilge fan with reverse polarity switch to further disapate heat. this stuff is fantastic. originally I purchased it to insulate a boat motor box. the original insulation was cheap foam with mylar, this stuff is so much better and I can barely hear the motor now. it blocks out sound and heat very well and is about 1/3 the thickness of the original insulation. the leftover material has been used to insulate cooler lids, engine compartment, and even exposed pipes outside the house. this is great material and I'm planning on getting more to do the hood of my car. It is very durable and is somewhat of a pain to cut, but I would rather have a harder time cutting it than use some flimsy cheap material

Pruduct is less than 3/16" thick.... so utterly useless, honestly. This is just a bit better than just a mylar reflective barrier itself. Seriously. It held off tge temp change for a grand total of 3 minutes and then got just as hot as the surrounding area, then proceeded to stay hotter for almost 5 minutes after the surrounding are cooled. Utterly useless at this thickness.

Great material and completely met my expectations. The thickness of the material is 1/4 it does a great job at keeping the area cool and quiet. A bit tough to cut but nice to work with, I used item DEI 010490 Hi-temp spray adhesive to redo the firewall on my Porsche and this stuff looks and functions great. If you are need of replacing the firewall I recommend this product.

Just enough material to completely cover the underside of the hood on my '05 Dodge Ram 3500. The reflective material is tough and well reinforced and the insulation material is dense, about 5/16" thick. That makes it a bit more difficult to work with (tough to cut) but worth the extra effort (sturdy). I used the hi-temp spray adhesive from DEI together with 2" hood insulation clips (from my local Ace hardware store) and the Thermo-tech high heat tape to mount it. Drilled a few additional 1/4" holes for additional clips. Noticeable noise reduction, though not extreme. Comparable to OEM noise insulation. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.

Purchased for my Honda Discovery 1000-3. The insulation made by Honda didn't deter the heat very much at all that radiates through the seats. I replaced it with your product and it is fantastic! I no longer have the "hot seat" while driving at slow speeds. Great product!

Used for MR2 engine bay firewall pad replacement. Really bought it for looks to replace the aged 25 year old black cloth pad, so the Thermo-Tec pad added a nice refreshing look to the engine bay. Didn't notice much of a sound difference, maybe slightly quieter, and I've never had an issue with heat in the cabin due to engine placement. It certainly made a positive difference as far as looks go, and that's all I was after.
