Makes a nice clean edge. U-nails hold the mulch mat in place very well, though it'd be nice to have more for more intricate mulch bed shapes.

This worked well for what I needed it for, which was blocking grass and weed growth under the stones that make my tiny front garden area at my duplex. The roll is a lot smaller than I thought (even though it’s clearly stated in the advertisement how big it is, I overestimated), so it didn’t cover all that I needed to, so I’ll be buying another roll, or a longer, wider roll if it’s available.It does look attractive, and definitely blocks the weeds and grass from growing in between the paving stones. I had a hard time pushing someof the pins in the ground without bending them, but we do have hard clay ground in areas of my yard.Overall, a good option to keep from having to weedwack or put chemicals down to stop grass and weed growth, and I plan on buying more to finish the project!

Heelos' black rubber mulch strip is a really novel idea. I was able to unroll the strip and place it over some difficult areas. It was really great for the side of my house. Be careful to wear gloves while working with the strip, it will cut your hands.

I ordered this with the intention of using it as landscape edging along a row of bamboo bushes that could be walked on in the snow. Our old path was torn up and I didn't want to do hardscape. The material is well packed and dense, so I'm not worried about longevity. I also like that it's natural material so better for the environment. Pay attention to the size of this, it's not a huge amount and will work best on smaller projects, or you might need to order several. It comes with landscaping staples and a little roll of Velcro for attaching plants to stakes, which is a nice bonus. It does require a bit of hammering (malleting?) to push the landscape staples through, but they are sturdy metal and don't bend. Overall, good quality, not a huge amount.

The Heelos mulch pad was ordered for use with a section my vegetable garden next year.I've used artificial mulch in the past. However, the mulch was never in a roll or pad. It was always particles. However, this mulch roll meets the needs of a 10 foot section of garden that is especially difficult to keep free of grass and weeds creeping into the garden. One of the features that I like is that the mulch comes in a roll rather than particles. It can stay in one place, be removed at the end of the season, stored, and then reused the next year. The mulch is made from recycled rubber tires, and this is certainly a good use of a material that would normally not be used again. The thickness is about 1/2 inch, and I find it to be easy to roll and then reuse. The product description indicates there is no need for staking. However, due to the nature & placement of our garden, the mulch roll will be staked.BOTTOM LINE: This product is a relatively inexpensive mulch roll in comparison to other artificial types of mulch. It rolls out easily and stays in place. I would order it again.

Nice coco fiber, thick, not easy to cut/rip however which could be a good thing. Rough and sharp so handle with gloves
