This is a must for think-tank rain covers. It secures the rear to fit the function and design of the cover.Another well built and thought through product from think tank.

I bought this as a replacement for the factory Z9 eyepiece which is prone to slipping off. I’m not using it with the Think Tank rain cover. This EP-NZP eyepiece fits perfectly! There is no play after it clicks into place. It’s solid and made of Delrin which is really tough.

This works well with the Hydrophobia D 70-200 V3 rain cover (I got the DSLR version rather than the mirrorless version because I have both a D850 and a Z7. It takes a some pulling of the neoprene seal to get it around the eyepiece but once in place, it keeps the water out. Unfortunately the viewfinder eye sensor is so shaded by the depth of the plastic that the camera thinks an eye is against viewfinder. That can result in the camera not switching to the LCD monitor automatically, or at all. So, you may have to use the EVF to view things like the camera menus or to review pictures.

I had to slightly modify it to make it fit my Nikon D610, but it works and fits prefect now. If you have a high quality camera, I highly suggest you make this investment to protect your gear.

You don't have to have this but if you are out in the rain enough it's worth the purchase.

After years of an itchy eye- I finally realized it might be an allergy to the Canon eye cup. So, this one was recommended. And what do you know... its 80% gone. So, for that reason alone I would recommend. But it is also very comfortable and overall very happy. (as a side note- from a girl who wears make up perspective- I used to always rub my face against the display.. but this actually brings your cheek away from the camera screen- so no make up residue on display..... ; )

Doesn't fit the A1 - but until Think Tank bring one out found could just bodge fit the rain cover over a standard Sony eyepiece that came with the A1 (or an equivalent cheaper independent one)

Works well with the Hydrophobia Rain Cover, it is a tight fit so will create a rainproof seal. Have tried it with my 1DX Mk1 and MK3.. The only downside is.. It should be included in the price of the actual Hydrophobia Cover.
