The Throttle Linkage Kit for Dodge P-Pump 1994-1998 is the secret to turning your Cummins into the responsive machine it was always meant to be. This kit replaces those worn-out, sloppy rods with precision-engineered parts that make every throttle input feel sharp and deliberate.Adjusting it is as satisfying as tuning a guitar—it takes a little finesse, but when it’s dialed in, the performance sings. Whether you're tackling work or play, this kit ensures your throttle responds like it’s ready for action, not a nap.For any Dodge enthusiast looking to eliminate sluggish throttle feel, this is the upgrade that says, “Wake up, we’ve got work to do!”

Fairly easy install on a 12v cummins with no miscellaneous things to remove to install the linkage. It took 3 adjustments of the "socket" end to achieve the desired idle speed (mine was originally set to ~700 rpm) and for each full turn of the socket out or in is about 250 rpms or so.My old linkage retaining device on the socket end gave up after 160k miles and assumed it was original from 1996.

Don’t know why this was not in the description on modifying a 65 Ford and needed a throttle rod this shape but cannot find any dimensions. The minimum size is 14 inches and max 14.5”. However, given that there’s a rod that can be replaced, this could be modified to any length that you want

The description states that is is zinc plated. The pictures show it is zinc plated. What I got was raw/bare steel linkage and threaded stud, and zinc plated rod ends. The threaded rod was slightly bent, and the internal thread machining of the rod was poorly done.Bottom line, yes, it does work and is better than nothing. If you just need to replace your rod ends on the stock linkage, just order up some 6mm rod ends. that is the size for ALL threads on the stock P pump linkage. The rod ends included with this have questionable quality, meaning they may pop on you at the worst time, in the long run.For ANYONE who has to put together throttle linkage, like for a classic car with multiple carburetors, etc, sit down and piece together a quality setup from McMaster Carr. If you work on cars, you should be, or have to be good with measurements.
