How to replace with new automotive sensor?
Kindly note that:
Like anything else, sensors wear out, corrode, or become dirty. This essentially blinds the computer and triggers the terrible check engine light. You can purchase or prepare a code reader and read your OBD codes, that will help you a lot on installation.
Either way, you should always consult a repair manual before attempting any procedure involving automotive sensors. If you’re servicing a vehicle built before 1996, you'll need a code reader that reads OBD I information. Post 1996, you'll need a code reader capable of OBD II diagnostics.
1) Always wear eye protection and start with installation tools.
2) Searching related installation video on the internet will be recommended.

Perfect fit for this Vortec 3.5L V8 Flex. The total time to swap it out was 20 min with simple tools. fixed my sluggish start and accel problem. sometimes it is cheaper to replace than try to troubleshoot these things.

Fixed my idle issue [ '08 silverado 1500 5.3l] but now have a 2-3 second delay in throttke response. First start up is fine but after first initial drive or stepping on the accelerator for the first time. But when you come to a stop and try to go again there is a 2-3 second delay and then the truck takes off at what ever position the throttle body is in at the time it decides to kick in. I thought maybe sticky body and cleaned it thoroughly and same issue. No codes throw. No (CEL) of any kind. Tried doing a throttle relearn with my computer took it fine but same issue. Then i did a throttle hard reset relearn and exact same issue. Which makes me think therebis an issue with the TPS. Will be sending back for refund.
