Each piece in this collection is made of melamine, a durable, break-resistant, non-toxic and heat-resistant plastic. Melamine can withstand temperatures from 32DegreeF to 220DegreeF (0DegreeC to 120DegreeC). Melamine is non-microwaveable, but is dishwasher safe (highly recommended for low temperature, top rack only). When placed facing down onto a table, a well-crafted melamine dish remains straight and flat, without a gap between the table and the rim.

When I got these bowls, I thought they would be too small. They are just the right size for vegetables, fruit, etc. My husband and I are elderly and since I have difficulty grasping things now they are tremendously sturdy and just the right size for us! They are just the right size portions as well.

Definitely my favorite for handy little stocking bowls. I travel with them in my suitcase to use for jewelry, drinking cups, items on the bathroom counter and oh yes bit of food.

Used on the tables for salsa and avocado dip. They were perfect.Don’t microwave them, though. They get really hot.

The light weight and the ridges on the bottom give them a cheaper feel but these are not cheap for what they are. The color is fine. I was worried these would be ivory or speckled but hey are a white.

These bowls are a nice size for individual servings. Even though heat resistant, they are not for use in the microwave! I don’t see that anywhere in the description. Saw the tiny print on the burnt bowl I removed from the microwave!
