I buy these for all my kindergarten students to start the year. Many don’t have quite the fine motor skill to hold a regular sized pencil with such ease as they start school. With the triangular shape the pencils don’t roll away and it is easy for me to teach proper pencil grip without the need of a finger spacer on the pencil. It also a little harder for kids to break these ones since they are bigger and sturdier. Why my kindergarteners like to break pencils, I’ll never know. But these have saved my sanity on that level too. Plus the bright colors are fun! And from the picky teacher side…Ticonderoga pencils are the best in general so I’m glad they make these triangle shaped ones!

I homeschool my son and these were very difficult to find in stores in my area. These arrived exactly as expected and have lasted very well for new writers. They stay sharp and are a great size for kindergarteners. They are a great value.

These are comfortable to hold, and helped my son develop proper grip. However, they are thicker than standard pencils, and are too large to fit into any of the pencil sharpeners I have at home.
