The filter itself helps soften skin details, blemishes, and wrinkles. It also produces glowing highlights and a mild reduction in contrast for a more ethereal appearance. The 1 density provides a small amount of softening and overall image alteration. This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting onto precision metal rings. Produces glowing highlights and a slight reduction in contrast for a more ethereal image appearance. Helps soften skin details, blemishes, and wrinkles. When viewed from the subject's perspective, the filter appears to be sparkling and helps instill confidence in models, resulting in a potentially better performance.

I absolutely love this filter! It stays on my Fuji X100VI 100% of the time. It's very subtle and not at all distracting when shooting portraits of people, and provides a beautiful soft diffusion on any light source. Especially perfect for shots at night for any lit-up signs, streetlights, etc. Super happy with the purchase!For what it's worth: I've also used Tiffen's Black Pro Mist filter (their 1/8 is the closest equivalent to this product), and while I like the BPM, I definitely prefer this Glimmerglass over the BPM because the Glimmerglass produces even better overall results for my liking. Go for it!

Got this on my X100vi and love the way it looks. The bloom might be too much for some people but that's just preference. General consensus from various points seems to be that 1 is good, 1/2 might be okay but anything less is almost pointless. ALMOST pointless. Love mine though!

This filter will be staying on my x100vi 100% of the time. The subtle diffusion gives your photos that film vibe without being to over the top. Love the light diffusion this gives off.

I use it with my Fuji X100V very nice subtle softening look to images. Sometimes there is a rattling noise and I need to tighten the retaining ring.
