This is a very nice and extremely useful set filters if you want to enhance the black and white photo capabilities of your digital camera. I bought these to use with my Panasonic Lumix FZ7 camera and they're been really great to have. The inclusion of a red filter, green filter and yellow filter in one kit was very handy. Each of them has its important use in black and white photography. If your digital camera give you the possibility of shooting in black and white mode, I highly suggest a set of filters like this. Do some research on the Web to see how they can be used to add zest and definition to photographs and then have a lot of fun experimenting with them.

This is about as basic a set as you can get. I think I first used these about 60 years ago. But in this case, clasic is good. You can, after the fact, get some of the same effects in Photoshop but it's nicer to see the results in real time before you shoot. (Note these really only work for black and white - in color they are pretty ugly.)

OVER PRICED. Yes Tiffen filters are solid, but would recommend putting your money into a Lee style 4X4 filter set, where you have more flexibility with various types of filters. Also, threaded filters will wear down your lens threads if used a lot. Recommend getting your basic UV filters as a protection layer.Additionally, yes this will add depth to clouds, and black and white photography, but I'm warning you, your going to be much more happy with a Lee filter rig... and only another $150 to start out.

Tiffen never disappoints. Wish the yellow in this set was darker - an 8 or 15. But still a good set. An absolute must for anyone shooting black and white film.

Yes you can get a similar effect post production but these B&W filters allow you to get the perfect results in camera. The quality of these is top notch, the fit is excellent on my Zeiss Loxia lenses

Great set I shoot the 25 red filter all the time in colour not the intended use but I like it, i haven’t used these for black and white photography
