I felt the need to write a review after reading all the negative ones on here. Of course this isn't solid wood. Of course it isn't going to last 50 years and be passed on to your great-grandchildren: it's only $10! If you don't have unrealistic expectations though, this thing is great; it's sturdy, looks fine from a distance, and holds my banjo (with resonator). I also appreciate that the sides are padded with foam to avoid scratching floors or the instrument. If you want a centerpiece display stand that you can have in a high traffic area, this isn't it, but it's perfect for looking decent holding up an instrument in a corner. Overall, if you want an affordable stand for an instrument that maybe you don't play as much as you should, this is a great choice.

Perfect for my Concert & Tenor Ukuleles. It hold the Ukulele just fine & yes it’s pressed wood but again it’s really inexpensive & I’m not looking for a designer stand. Note: I have a small travel guitar & I wouldn’t trust it for that.

I love this stand! Easy to tote unassembled, sets up in 2 seconds and very cool looking. The the soft foam edging will protect your instrument and floor. It is not solid wood but looks nice. Good, highly functional and attractive purchase for the price.

Aesthetically pleasing- breaks into two small pieces in five seconds and fits into my bass ukulele gig bag - it is highly unstable and I'm extremely lucky that either I, or my bandmates have caught my Ubass the many times it's tipped over due to the floor not being perfectly level, or a slight gust of wind. Its footprint is too shallow so it lacks stability. I'm searching for another compact replacement. It WILL break your heart as your instrument comes crashing down.
