This set comes in a clear resealable plastic bag. Inside, all the straight needles were contained in a plastic tube; the curved needles were separated by size in small ziplock bags; the thimble and needle threader were in another small ziplock bag; and the two finger cots were loose in the main resealable bag.I tested one of the large straight needles and one of the curved needles. With the help of the pleather finger cots for better grip for pulling the needle through, I was able to stitch through 4 layers of thick denim fabric, with both types of needles. The provided needle threader works fine, very similar to other widely-used needle threaders. The needles I tried were sharp and felt sturdy. The provided thimble was a bit too small for me. Overall a great value to have on hand for stitching through thick materials.
