Hands down this is the best product for thread repair/replacement. Wrong length was sent but they were good enough for what I needed so I used them anyway. Replaced all the threads in a set of AFR heads on a small block chevy.

I bought these to repair damaged exhaust manifold threads in the heads of my BBC 454. They were perfect for the repair I need and came recommended from a long time friend and mechanic. When removing the tap for the timesert it became damage and the end of the tap broke off upon removal. After notifying the seller about this issue, I received a replacement in the mail 2 days later. Great Product and Great Customer Service.

Time-Serts are very easy to install. The result is stronger than the original threaded hole and it will accept the full torque required by the fastener. I use these particular Time-Serts to repair Harley Davidson Evolution and Twin-Cam engines when the cylinder head studs pull out of the engine cases. This repair can be accomplished without removing the engine cases from the frame.

after reviewing tests of other inserts -Time Sert , makes the thread inserts are 1 step better than the rest. If I'm wrong, Time Sert also offers the Big Sert ( one step bigger than the Time Sert ) to re-drill another insert with more surface area. I doubt the smaller Time Sert I put in yesterday will ever pull out. It's stronger than the original metal , but if the smaller Time Sert fails, I'll re-drill and install the stronger Big Sert. I like the way they think, they offer me a back up plan.
