A lot of info once unfolded. Folds back up easily (much easier than those old maps did!!) Compact and comes with a magnifier if you need it to reads it. I’m the kind of person who likes to be prepared for anything and have what I need with me – including information. When your cell phone battery dies in the wild or you can’t get signal – this survival guide may be of good use – especially if you stay indoors all day and don’t know anything about the wild. If you’re an experienced hiker/climber/naturalist, there’s probably little that fits onto this two-page (front and back) paper that you don’t already know.Some of it is general information, yes, but sometimes in a panicked emergency situation you need to hear a source of straight, basic information when you start second-guessing yourself.There are some typos in this guide, and as always, small typos raise questions about whether there are larger information errors. Hopefully not. In many cases, there’s just not enough room on the guide for everything you wish was included. Many things are referenced – for example, “perform CPR,†but there’s no section on how to perform CPR as far as I could tell. That seems pretty basic.To my young-er eyes, the included magnifying tool isn’t needed to read this, but folks with lesser eyesight may find it helpful.Beyond the cover and back cover, the paper itself is not waterproof at all and will easily tear and get wet, so I plan to keep this in the small plastic throw-away bag it came in.

This compact survival guide is impressively packed with practical information, all crammed into a small, slim piece of gear. While much of it is based on common sense, it’s reassuring to have these reminders available, particularly in high-stress situations where common sense can be harder to recall. The first aid guides inside cover a wide variety of scenarios and offer treatment advice for nearly every situation you might face. As expected, the guide is tiny, with text printed in very small font to fit all the content. Luckily, it comes with a small magnifying glass to make reading easier. While not the highest quality, the magnifier works well enough to clearly read and understand the instructions. This survival guide is an excellent tool for providing peace of mind, reducing stress during uncertain times, and even helping to resolve unnecessary disputes. It’s a useful and comforting item to keep on hand.

I bought this guide because I thought it would be good to have "just in case." I'm not such a camper anymore but I still go on hikes. I liked looking through it and reading all of the advice/suggestions. Some of it is guidance like "you can last for three days without water" and that is good to brush up on. Other parts describe how to light fires or identify plants. Be forewarned that some items say "practice in advance". Haha! Anyway, I enjoy the guide and am glad I have it.It should come on waterproof paper.

Lots of information is included but it's made of flimsy paper, so it isn't dependable to have in an emergency situation. And then it's very expensive for the quality of what you receive.
