I'm giving this 5 stars as I doubt there is a cover available that is better. In spite of that, I think there are a couple of minor tweaks that would make it perfect. Before mentioning them, I'll say that this cover is thick, well padded, seems durable, feels great, fits well and looks good. I was fantasizing that I could find a cover this good and it meets my expectations. All the covers I've seen locally are flimsy, baggy, with little or no padding and many are butt-ugly, looking like the bizarrest curtains ever from the 1960's. This is just plain, which is NICE. It it very solidly made and the padding is sumptuous -- better than any other cover I've ever seen. (I have carefully added much more padding -- old towels, tablecloths, fabric project leftover scraps ... about 7 layers. I did this because when I originally bought this ancient wood ironing board, that's the way it came. Previous owners had put on all kinds of fabrics and then new covers over the old without ever removing any of them. I wanted a fresh start so peeled off all the old layers to discover that there were 7. Now it's the same but new and was a great opportunity to get rid of the towels and fabrics I didn't like anymore and put them to good use. It is a FABULOUS ironing experience. Even though I don't iron that much I want it to be good when I do.)Moving on to my thoughts about how the Alumitek cover could be made perfect, I think add two more velcro tightening straps. There are already two at the broad half of the board. But I want the nose half to fit that snugly (and hold all my extra padding firmly in place.) The directions say to just cut off any straps that impede the board operating mechanism. If there were 4 straps per whole board, allowing anyone to tighten the complete board length, there'd still be no detriment if a person had to cut off a strap that came into conflict with the board mechanism. In my case, I could run any and all straps without conflict as they just go under (which is really above, if the board is opened) the mechanism. The other thing is the color. I like that it's plain, but the grey is a little dark and gloomy for my personally taste. A lighter grey/taupe would be cheerier. Even better would be the verdegris color of oxidized copper with some taupe/grey added. That's always pleasant.Anyway, you will NOT be sorry if you buy this pad. It is worth the price.BTW, I made these suggestions directly to the company and quickly got a reply that was not a form letter. How nice in today's world! So, they are really on top of their game. Information about upcoming improvements was shared and an explanation of why color change is not as easy as a trip to Joanne's Fabrics. It is a special heat tolerant fabric.

Easy to install, heavy duty ironing board cover that will last for many years to come. This cover fit my Better Homes & Gardens 17x48 WIDE ironing board that I had purchased from W-Mart. It was wrinkled when initially taken out of packaging, but it is a fairly large cover folded in packaging, so to me wrinkles are expected😊The wrinkles were nothing that a quick swipe of a hot iron couldn’t fix😉 **I need to mention that this particular ironing board has an iron holder on the side, for those of that have this feature and need a cover to fit.**I ordered the 18x50, and my board measured 17x48. I did have to tweak the fit a tiny bit by adding sheet/mattress cover straps to the bottom end of the cover. By ordering an 18x50 cover left approximately 1.5†of wrap around on sides. The front fit beautifully as is, as did the back side. It fit well w/out the extra straps, but I like the cover to be super tight w/ no chance of slippage whatsoever. (The straps hold the cover more securely around the board near the iron holder.) The Velcro straps & elastic cording do a remarkable job holding the cover elsewhere. This cover is superbly made and is by far a luxury cover compared to the flimsy cheap one that my BH&G board came w/ brand new. I don’t foresee any issues w/ this cover, my Rowenta Pro iron glides like butter over the surface🌟

This is THE best ironing board cover I've ever had. I know it sounds silly to gush over an ironing board cover, but this one is so special that it's worth gushing over. I have a large ironing board & have had problems with finding a cover that would fit, but this company has so many sizes that I found they carried exactly the size I needed. The cover is by far the best quality I've ever seen in an ironing board cover, & it actually makes ironing a breeze. It perfectly fits my ironing board, & the drawstring pulls it tight, in addition to the two velcro straps that also keep it in place, and don't at all impede closing or opening the board. Plus, it has a two year warranty, although I seriously doubt I'll need that because it's made so well. Additionally, it's been a real pleasure dealing with this company. I had a problem with the drawstring on the first cover I got (likely my own fault), so I sent it back. Within about a day I got an email from the company giving me several options for a replacement or refund (I chose a replacement because I had already seen the quality of their covers), and within 2 days I got the replacement. The company could not have been nicer. I got the titanium cover, & it simply makes ironing as easy as it could be. I like the blue color of it, too. I can't give a higher recommendation than to say I look forward to using this company again, and I highly recommend their ironing board covers!

you can’t find an ironing board cover for my size ironing board in any brick and mortar store. My ironing board is 55 years old and I guess they don’t make them that big anymore at least not in the US. I have had various covers over the years. I am very happy with this one. I like that it is not excessively padded, the Velcro tabs are better than the clip on elastic fasteners, and it was pretty easy to put on. Most of all, it fits. I would give it five stars if it was overall about 1 inch bigger on every side. I like the assurance of a bit more wraparound the board.

It fit my ironing board no problem. I had gone by the measurements given to us on line for different size. It is nice and thick. I have never seen one as good as this one. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a good quality ironing board cover to go with this one. It is definitely the best and you won't regret your purchase. Sometimes, paying a little more is worth it and in this case, it is.

After purchasing a steam generator iron my old ironing board cover wasn’t up to par. The first time I used my new iron I had a puddle of water under the board as the steam had just passed through it. I loved the fact that I could just measure my board and order the exact size I needed. The first time I used it I was amazed at how well it fit the board and how the steam did not pass through it, the steam and heat is reflected onto the garment and makes ironing easier. I wish this product was available as a cut to size pad so that I could make a custom board for when I am sewing and need a bigger surface.

This TIVIT ironing board cover is just as described. The company rep. who replied to my email inquiry was extremely helpful in figuring out the proper size of cover for my ironing board. They were quick, friendly, and went above and beyond to help me. Good quality cover, well padded, and doesn't slide around. Would recommend based on my experience.

This cover is thick and fits my odd-size ironing board perfectly. It was easy to put on and although I've only been using it for a couple weeks, I'm super happy with it.
