I sew all the time. My ironing board is always up. It was really expensive as ironing boards go and is wider than standard so this was the only cover I could find that I was certain would fit. SOOOO worth the extra money. Instead of an awkward knotted string, it has an elasticated bungee cord with a lock. This made it much easier to adjust for length. Three long velcro straps to pull it snug across the bottom of the board. A really nice thick piece of wool stitched to the cotton cover so it doesn't slip or slide. At first I was worried because it looked like it caused lumpy wrinkles but no! I did as the instructions told me and pressed it once the size was adjusted and the lumpy wrinkles disappeared.Easily the best cover I've ever had.

THE BEST fitting ironing board cover. A number of years ago I purchased a Rowena Ironing Board, but to my dismay, it has become impossible to find a new cover that's fit properly like the one that came with the ironing board. I have purchased a number of different brands, none of which fit properly but would suffice. Since my last one tore, it was time to begin the search again. This time I purchased the Tivit. And yes it is a bit pricer than the others but well worth the money. It is durable and beautifully made as well fits properly under the board with straps for tightening. I will definitely purchase this again when it is becomes necessary to replace. Added bonus: it is made in Italy....not China!

This cover is excellent. It is very finely crafted. Measure your old board carefully and you'll choose the right one...this one fits perfectly. Follow the instruction card EXACTLY and you won't have any creases, just a nice perfect ironing surface that will likely last YEARS. (Someone mentioned a chemical smell...I didn't notice anything, I think that must have been contamination from something other than the cover, not related to the product or manufacturing, because this cover that I received just smells like cotton, that's all.)

Great replacement for old cover. This cover is oversized and I thought I would never find one to replace the old one. I let it sit to relax, I can’t say enough about how happy I am with this purchase!

It’s too new to know about durability or stain resistance, but it is all cotton and thickly padded. My last replacement had padding so thin you could see the indentations of the holes in the metal frame, and water would drip below after using steam.

Absolutely adore this ironing board cover. It is very well made, easy to put on, feels wonderful to iron on . looks lovely and appears to be the high quality that I thought was gone forever in this world. I think it is actually made in Italy - and it shows! Absolutely LOVE it! I was hesitant to order since it is more expensive than some of the other covers ,but so glad that I did because the quality of the cover makes the price worth it - at least to me. It was so difficult finding a good ironing board cover. I'd review cover after cover and find something I didn't like about it either in the description or comments. This ironing board cover is excellent! I love it! It has the feel and texture and performance that a good ironing board cover should have! This is an excellent product!
