I picked up this camping ax, and let me tell you, it made me feel like a total wilderness pro—despite the fact that my camping experience mostly involves sitting by the fire and making s’mores. Still, this ax is no joke. It’s super sturdy and sharp, and it slices through wood like it’s no big deal.I half expected to be a lumberjack after one swing, and while I didn’t exactly turn into Paul Bunyan, I did feel pretty awesome. The grip is solid, and it’s just the right weight, so I didn’t feel like I was going to drop it on my foot or chop off any limbs.If you want to impress your camping buddies or just channel your inner Bear Grylls, this ax will definitely do the trick.

Well made and surprisingly high quality and value, this Trivoi 15 inch ax is a delight to split kindling with and pound tent stakes with and such. Needed a little sharpening and some mineral oil on the real hardwood handle, but thats normal. Whats not normal is getting a value at this price point. Looks impressive, has a nice leather blade bonnet and will outlast me.

This is a heavyweight hatchet more usable as a splitter as the cutting area is a round wide area. It needs good sharpening but will easily split wood for kindling, etc. The handle is solid.

I would rate at 4.5 stars if that were an option. Only issue - axe showed up very dull - I will rectify that. Over all - very pleased with the product from a looks perspective but have not put it into use yet so I am not sure how it will hold up to actual chopping. Mainly purchased this because of the look/style and do not anticipate using it on a regular basis.

The head appears to be made of hardened steel. I've chopped and made a lot of kindling. I would buy it again.

Ready to use right from the box. I cut four billets of walnut and the weight and balance are perfect for a carving hatchet. It comes with a rubber blade cover and a leather sheath. Two round wedges too. It will be great for spoon blanks, performs guillotine cuts with ease. I can’t wait to sharpen it because it will only get better.

More of a hatchet than anything, but I'm very happy so far. Like most wooden handled tools, I end up soaking the head in a bucket of mineral oil first. Wood always seems a little dry to me
