I just finished this quilt and absolutely love it. It is a real beauty hence the 5 stars. As mentioned by others I ran out of the outline color but it was not a problem to find because the kit uses DMC thread. The thread came sorted which was a real time saver. (I just spent the better part of a day sorting the thread for another quilt I am planning to make). The main problem with this quilt was that there were folds in the quilt when the pattern was stamped which meant there were gaps in the print when the quilt was laid out flat. I had to pencil in crosses and in some places it left the pattern a little distorted. (No one but me notices it.) Because of that, had I rated this when I first started it, I probably would have given it 3 stars. But it is by far the prettiest quilt of the 4 I have made. The color shading in it makes it look like a work of art. It is well worth the 6 months I spent making it.

My kit was perfectly stamped. I was concerned because some of the reviews c/o the poor stamping. Amazon is so good about returns, I'm sure they would take a defective kit back. The material is very nice and soft. Easy to sew on it while keeping the back stitching between the layers of the material. I think people are confused on how the floss is labeled. The floss is numbered in order as it is on the floss key as noted in the instructions. 1st color on list is #1 on the floss card, 2nd color on list is #2 on the floss card, etc.

This was for my daughter’s second baby and she had picked this quilt out for me to make. The colors are definitely NOT vibrant like the picture shows. The stamping was messed up in multiple places on the material and I ran out of 2 of the colors which luckily i was able to substitute another color with no one the wiser. When first looking at the picture I didn’t think this would be very much work but I was wrong on that. The pattern is really cute but I was really disappointed in how faded out the colors were

I bought this kit around March of 2023 before my grandson was born. I just finished it in September of 2024. The printed cross stitches, however, were a little crooked at times and they could have put more dark brown thread in the kit as I had to purchase a dark brown substitute at a hobby store. That color was needed for outlining a lot of areas of the quilt. I had a little trouble initially following the crosses as a lot of back and forth looking at the paper guide was necessary, and the paper guide was pretty wrinkled up and torn by the time I finished. Had been years since I did a kit, which most likely was part of the problem. :0) It washed beautifully, and all printed crosses came out in the wash. The finished product looked great and will be a great gift for his first birthday. Thank you.

Love this quilt but it takes a lot of counting of stitches and where they lie to get the color shading for the balloon. Otherwise, a pleasure to work on for first grandchild!

the colors of this quilt are not exactly as pictured but very pretty and bright. very well constructed and the instructions are very easy to follow. this will be a very nice blanket when finished.

The number of strands of each color listed on the chart do not match the number of strands provided, making it difficult to figure out which color is which. In some cases, the number is around half of what should be there. I thought maybe they were meant to be counted as if the extra long strands were folded in half but that still wouldn't add up. So instead, it appears that they simply decided to make money by ripping people off and skimping on thread. It's a cute design but a terrible kit. Won't buy from this company again.
